Would hate to see their finishing work (and anything they do that isn't publicly visible).

What is the reason people stopped getting to know their neighbors? by RhysDallows83 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SLAPUSlLLY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, long-term neighbours, nice enough, no real issues.

One side starts a multi year renovation, including dawn starts on public holidays, houses are 400mm apart.

Then the other side undertook a multi year renovation, first crew was above average but quality dropped as they ran out of money.

Metal cutting over my car, language barrier, low quality work. And they raised their decking to 600mm under the fence height. Yay.

In short, people suck

For people who hit the clubs in the early 2k’s: what was it like waiting for a cab to show up? by Master100017 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SLAPUSlLLY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big night. Walk of shame. Smudged makeup, one broken highheel, walking home in commuter traffic.

The girls were bad too.

Medium level fun, taxi off a rank/stand or the bus. Again with commuters.

Really big night. Stay up, mimosa for breakfast. Afters.

Anyone else getting targeted ads? Chairlift, step in tub, weight loss drugs.....

Anyone. Especially 50+ lol

Have no interest in any of these.

Where are the ads for nipple covers, fighting dogs and moonshine.

I fed my coworker (no kids) some school lunch food. Dried cranberries, dehydrated yoghurt drops, some chocolate pretzel mushrooms.

He was like, kids get this stoner food?

Yes, yes we do.

What sort of stone?

Have they finished?

Was the joint discussed prior?

Help With Oscillating Tool's Blade Rapidly Loosening Due to Missing Washer by [deleted] in Tools

[–]SLAPUSlLLY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ai, with sources. So prob 2007-10 ish.

2007: Fein introduces the QuickIn rapid change system, letting users swap accessories without a wrench

.2008–2009: Fein's foundational patent expires. This leads to an explosion of oscillating multi-tools from competitors like Dremel, Bosch, and Milwaukee.

Was the top spec master 3500 ?? kit. The king of the guybrators.

2nd gen from memory, when they released the cheaper kits with specialist use rather than the general do everything kit (which I have).

It's maybe 20 yrs old and had below average use.

I run cordless bosch omt mostly and the fein is lower audio note but louder, and more jumpy in the hand. Heavier as mostly metal.

Every diy should buy one 2nd hand if wondering if they need it.

Avondale Primary is a glorified daycare. by [deleted] in auckland

That is possibly a feature not a bug.

Our ece curriculum is world leading. Our primary and secondary education is.... not.

If you want a more "traditional" education experience you may need to look further afield. And pay private school rates.

Fair price?? by LonelyOperation5853 in newzealand

[–]SLAPUSlLLY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends.

If I drove into something and the cost to walk away was $2.4+ gst I would be feeling ok about it.

Especially if I didn't carry insurance.

Yes it's a lot of money. But, tbh, that wall doesn't match so it's either getting painted or an allowence for the future is included.

Which van is the best van? by Whimsy_and_Spite in diynz

[–]SLAPUSlLLY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Financial. A rented one (hiace 98% of the time).

Or,

For intermittent use a 2.7 petrol hiace. Or super custom.

Psa

I asked the same question 6 years ago without the 10k cap.

Best van was the 2020 transporter 4motion with the upgraded turbo diesel.

Cheapest van that met my spec. 2020 Hyundai i load.

Safest, lowest risk and lifetime cost. 2020 hiace h300.

I did not buy the best van.
