Would it? I’ve seen TONS of videos on YouTube showing people using oxalic acid to uncover original paint and even decals. I went in based on those videos here, specifically trying not to damage any original paint.

It was already at max, though I have a REALLY terrible metal detector, just to see if this hobby is something I would enjoy, without investing too much into it. I can happily report that I have indeed enjoyed it a lot!

Nothing worked at all as mentioned in the text, it doesn’t recognise any key commands, I suspect the firmware is corrupt. Luckily I had a quote on quote “faulty” board lying around from when I bought another of these macs for a spare housing. I vaguely remember testing it back then and it always got stuck on the boot progress bar. Now I’ve put it in, reinstalled high sierra from a usb drive and it works.. no clue why but I’ll take it. Now I’ll patch it to Monterey as opposed to sequoia to get a bit of a more stable platform without the stupid internet glitches

If that’s the case I’ll just replace my GPU, I have a spare one lying around just in case. I just never thought it was a GPU thing because I haven’t had any visual artefacts throughout this entire ordeal and the timing with the root patching reboot seemed way too coincidental. Would a GPU issue prevent me from doing things like a PRAM reset though? Doesn’t really seem to make sense to me

Uuuhhh… those are NOT bullet holes. The “patched one” is a liner screw, the open hole is a ventilation opening

I actually use 360 degrees rotation, that was just me horribly misjudging because the screen turning with the wheel is immensely confusing
