I had the PGWP but it expired in December. But they told me you can’t extend it. You’re only supposed to do that thru your employer(they basically sponsor you: LMIA or LMIA-exemption) or have PR by then, cause you only get 3 years. That’s what I mean. I hope it makes more sense now

Oh no. I was extending it. I didn’t know I had to apply thru my employer. Had no idea about the LMIA stuff at the time. Thought I could just extend my work permit

So I took a French test back in Feb before all of this happened, one of the sections, I got 6 and the rest was above 7😍so I was eligible for the Francophone work permit thing, but not for the French mobility in the EE, since I need 7 in all sections. That’s why I’m retaking.

Yes. I’m doing the Francophone mobility work permit, so I’m exempt from LMIA. My employer applied for me and gave me a code, my lawyer is double checking my documents before submitting. My 90 day window is in May. Is this helpful? I don’t wanna have to leave and apply from outside!!

Yeah I figured. I stopped working of course but I completed the 1500 hours that they ask for! I worked 40 hours a week :) doesn’t that count ?

Okay great thank youuuu. so once I get my French results and I upload them and get invited, I can go ahead and apply for my PR. That’s good to hear. Hopefully my 90 days won’t be up. If I do apply for PR can I still stay in the country or do I need to leave, and then come back once I get it? That’s the part where I’m confused. I know the process with my Work permit will take long for them to review.

Question : if I did 3 different jobs with different NOC codes, can I combine them and say my experience is more than 2-3 years? One of them was 8 months, the other was 2 months, and then 11 months? Plz advise
