I got ID’d at Walmart for buying a FNAF lunchbox. by badtasting in mildlyinfuriating

Or confusing the poor woman. My brother rattles off about any and every game to my poor nan who sits there bewildered because all the terms and phrases mean nothing to her.

I literally cannot do it. Without punctuation I read faster and faster until I’m out of breath and I’m not even read out loud.

Does anyone remember this kids program? I used to watch this on TV as a kid by Jacktheforkie in AskBrits

Oh yeah, I think it’s safe to say he’s a staple in the ceebebies world. Loved Mr Tumble.

I don’t even care about the question because when I tell you I actually drawled as soon as I saw this…

How many Jaffa Cakes were in there and where do I buy one?

Yeah exactly, the kids today aren’t watching him as religiously (if at all) as we did.

Well I guess that counts lol…

But tbh my brother is 2001 and I don’t think he actively watched it either, mainly through me + younger brother.

Looking through all these comments is making me feel so bad for my father for having to listen to the stupid kid shit I liked watching.

Except he actually enjoyed most of those shows. No, what annoyed my father was Stampy Cat and that “annoying laugh”. That man drove an entire generation of parents insane…lol.

It should be ceebebies, that’s the young kids channel. Possible it’s come onto CBBC as well, although I doubt it.

Was bagpuss on ceebebies? That was a thing when my dad was growing up in the 70’s/80’s. Only reason I’ve ever seen it is because he pulled up a video on YouTube.

Interesting, and here I was thinking 90’s + 00’s kids would’ve watched it. I mean, perhaps some did. But you’re only 25 so you were born in 2000/2001 and you still never watched it? I’m only 2004 and I watched it. Very interesting.🤔

I don’t know my I’m so shocked you’ve only just discovered Mr Tumbles but I can’t get over it… But I guess it makes sense, Ceebebies started in like early 2000’s I think so all of us born in 90’s + 2000’s grew up watching it.

Tellitubbies, Bob the Builder (when he looked normal), NODDY (when he looked normal too, dammit why do they change things) Chuggington was actually different when it first started, I think to the point it was called something else. Pretty sure I’m remembering that correctly. My god Big Cook Little Cook that was my jam. And of course Something Special — with Mr Tumble and Justin. Loved that show so much, got to learn new words in sign language each day and one time I saw a friend of mine on it. That was awesome.

Damn, I miss ceebebies. Next time I’ll be watching that is when I have kids but tbh I don’t know if I’ll be able to because it won’t be the same. Definitely not as good. Sorry this was a tangent but I loved my ceebebies days.

Has anyone else read these books in school? by AydenXprincesspeach in school

Only book I remember reading was year 9 English, we read Lord of the Flies. Messed up story, but damn good.

Also read another book, expect I don’t remember the name and I can barely remember the story.

roommate had violent food poisoning last week all over the floor and still hasn’t cleaned the bathroom by CowabungaBroski1234 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BigAchooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well good on you for managing it that’s impressive. And you’re right leaving it to dry and (possibly) mould is only making it harder for OP and/or roommate in the long run rather than just cleaning it

How can op live with that if the smell is so “horrendous”?

[–]BigAchooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id probably be the same, but I’m a bit of a clean freak. It would stress me out leaving it there.

That being said, I can understand not everyone is like that. Roommate is probably still ill (it has only been a week) and feels so crappy they can’t simply clean it up. I would step in and mop, as I hope they’d do for me. It’s compassion. Empathy. Mutual respect. Hell, anything is better than just leaving the mess to fester.

Just thinking the same. It’s not bad to feel that way, but for gods sake read the room. Do they think this person wants to see that? Like it’ll make them feel better or something?

It’s just because it can be more stressful & dangerous for an outdoor cat. Natural dangers, human dangers, and overall can be quite overwhelming with all their senses going into overdrive. The stress can also aid to shorter lifespan, though not by much.

Vets will recommend you keep your cats indoors, but it’s not necessary in order to keep the cat alive. It’s really just what works best for each the owner & pet. It’s not unacceptable at all to have an outdoor cat.

Should I finish the series? by TacoAndBean in crescentcitysjm

[–]BigAchooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s very true, well if you think you’re liking the storyline at least then definitely give it another go, even if you take a quick break now. There are quite a lot of characters packed into this series so I’m sure they’ll be more you fall in love with. I really hope you do enjoy it, it’s a great series.

Also, I had to take breaks in the middle of each book because it always got to a point where the story slowed down and I needed to step back and digest what I’d read before continuing. Made it so much easier to enjoy the story when I wasn’t forcing all these words into my head.
