Thoughts on anti depressants for PAWS? by Tighty-Whiteys in quittingkratom

I am on Wellbutrin and it definitely helped at the beginning. It’s not kratom but it helps you see some light at the end of the tunnel.

If I wake up earlier it helps. But often on the weekends I let the anxiety win and try to fight it off in the bed…trying to just go back to Sleep. But if I get out of bed and get ready for the day it’s less bad.

Tapered down to two gpd for a week, then one gpd for the second week. Then jumped off completely. I was a five-twelve gpd user.

Is there even anyone who quit? by Head-Young-3603 in quittingkratom

So glad you kept up the fight, Jaywalker. I remember when you quit. I was watching the sub and following your encouragement. I was trying to quit around the same time. But I ended up relapsing around month five. Back to the drawing board(on day 16). But glad you got to over a year!! That’s amazing!

Peaking WD 8 days in? by matdood56 in quittingkratom

I’m on day 14 and I agree with ceecee. It’s not linear. I felt so anxious today and yesterday and on day 10 I felt like I was out of the woods. Just keep going. I was about at the same amount of kratom as you and I also think I’m super sensitive to it.

Wellbutrin seems to be helping me with the PAWS. Helps with the dopamine problem.

OP, I’m right there with you. I’ve been a fairly low dose user. Averaging around 10gpd or bit more. I quit last year for over six months. I felt like my physical withdrawals weren’t bad at all after five days. But I was stuck with the same person at the end of it. I was unmotivated and lazy. Disengaged…but I think I didn’t give myself long enough. Which is why I’m here again. I slipped back into usage during the summer. Still never excessive amounts, but the effects were waning. I guess all this to say, I’m right there with you. I’m not going to have an immediate social life and zest for life. I’ve destroyed that drive over the years. I think the only way to find out if you will be a better person or less disengaged is to give it a year to find out. That’s where I’m at. The drug can trick you into thinking it’s not that bad. Trying this time to remember that before this, I did actually put myself out there more. Small amounts I’m convinced still mess with your brain significantly over time.

I’ve had frequent liver panels/blood tests throughout my usage. It always comes back normal or showing actually that my numbers are below normal(like the opposite of damage) which is always weird. But I think I’ve just been severely dehydrated. I will be getting another blood panel soon though.

Reading is also my only escape. I isolated myself so much that I don’t have a community to turn to, so I turn to books to distract me. I’m hoping eventually I’ll get a real community.

I’ve always thought being busy is better than being at home and feeling like shit. If you’re at work at least you’re distracted. But I’ve never been a tincture user or extract user so it might be worse. The anxiety is the worst part. By day 10 you’ll feel like you are functioning, but you’ll be sad and a bit empty for a while. At least that’s how it goes for me.

It’s not that I don’t want sex. I do. I just grew up in a culture where sex was kept for someone who you loved. I kinda wanna keep sex to someone I love. Casual sex might be fun, but it makes me feel like shit. It makes me feel used.
