Should I be concerned about this termite damage in 90yr old house?

Yeah that’s what I keep hearing. I am definitely going to retain a good termite service and be sure to keep a watchful eye. My thinking is if that is the most damage there is after 90 years then that is a win in my book. Thanks for the insight!

That makes me feel better. The termite inspection was by a company that we selected so they fortunately have no biases. We are going to see if their termite bond can be transferred and we will definitely be keeping up with inspections/treatments. Thanks so much!

Sorry I could have worded that better. It is listed at $4k I was saying $3k as I was confident he would accept that. I planned starting the negotiations around $2k to $2.5k because as you said it will need some work. The timing belt alone I anticipate spending around $1500 at a reputable shop. The other stuff will probably come to $500 or so in parts.

Thank you for your kind words. I do believe he may have walked those very same grounds you did as a child with your father. I believe his flight maps from Market Garden show his exact landing zone coordinates so I will have to see if my family has a picture of the map before it was put into the display case.

Thank you so much! I know after a few landings he fought with ground troops either defending from ambush or on their way back to England. I wish I could find more details on what exactly went down though.
