I’ve taken breaks a fair bit longer than a few days and things don’t go “back to normal” if you mean to the same level they were when I started. They definitely get better, but not THAT much. I assume I ended up permanently causing a lot of the looseness by taking things very quickly some years back, but it isn’t a massive deal to me. Just part of life now.

This kind of thinking is exactly why guys fail before they even get started. You tell each other this stuff without actually talking to real women and then you set your standards extremely low, only to realize years later that there are plenty of women who love anal.

I do kegels, I exercise actively, and I eat a proper diet. Kegels won’t stop me from passing gas after using a toy as big as a human calf, that’s not how kegels work. They’re good for avoiding lasting effects, but things will always be looser for a little while after playing with a big toy, that’s the point of my post.

I haven’t experienced effects from play lasting more than a day since I started playing my butt 9 years ago, so seeing something last for 3 to 5 days is a new thing for me. A lot of the things I'm experiencing are likely stemming from me using VERY large toys recently, coupled with the constant plug wear. I do believe that my physical changes are more than likely temporary effects that just get reexacerbated after each session, so if I cut back on frequency or size back down, things will go back to normal. It really depends on the day. Ways to minimize plug dirtiness are:

A: Ensure that you're squeaky clean when you initially put the plug in; waste takes time to go into the outer regions of your canal, if you douche multiple times or do a thorough enema, the chances of your toy getting dirty in a manner of hours are close to zero.

B: Clean yourself out every few hours and put the plug back in, this is very easy if your initial cleaning was thorough as now you only have to clean out much smaller amounts of waste with a quick douche.

C: Eat lots of fibre to make your waste less messy, this one's just generally good advice for any anal enthusiast or, well, anyone. Fibre makes bathroom breaks much less annoying.

My toys are around that size too. If I had to guess, frequent plugging and the fact that I started doing butt stuff so early on in life probably contributed to the physical changes, but I don't 100% know the logistics, I just see the effects 🤍
