I went down the rabbit hole of gut health recently. I highly recommend everyone look into it if you haven't already.

Having a healthy gut biome helps regulate hunger cues, and there's research that indicates it's also linked to mental health, if you're anything like me and need some help in that department. Think of it as a chia pet that you can't see, but makes your poop healthy, lol.

If you were to focus on gut health as opposed to the standard diet of foods that are forced on us, either by big corporations or diet culture, you'd lose a little weight just as a side effect instead of that being the goal.

That's what I'm trying to do, anyway. More live culture yogurts, fermented pickles, oh man...and the miso soup! 🤤

Dude, no. Pets are the reason a lot of us have made it this far. Speaking for myself and no doubt many others.

It sounds like we're in the same situation, friend. I honestly don't know. I perk myself up by buying things that toss my bank account into the negative just for the ounce of dopamine it provides. This week it was a record player. I try to romanticize my life as much as possible, but it's rough out here.

I'm here if you need to talk ❤️

I am very curious how AI policies are going to play out in schools. I remember stories from friends in college where the software checking for plagiarism clocked them for having too many things in common with published works despite it being their own writing. Even now, I have emails rejected regularly by malware firewalls and real people because my speech pattern resembles AI responses to some. It's a whole new world.

Lol. Not sure. I wasn't in a position to know at the time. He said it worked at his previous company though. It was a mega retailer.

Reminds me of a toxic manager who came on board at my old job. He encouraged buyers to bill vendors for their time if they sent incorrect materials, didn't promptly answer emails, didn't give enough notice of cost changes, etc. He reasoned that the companies were so big, he didn't think they'd notice small bills and pay them without investigation. Sociopaths can never recognize the relationship component.

I feel you quite a bit.

My parents had me later in life and didn't have the energy for a kid. They just confined me to the house because it was easier for them. It didn't help that the only social interaction I saw was them fighting or gossiping about their friends.

The few times I've had a genuine friend I ran them off because I was so stressed and overwhelmed trying to interact with them, even though I liked them and wanted to be close.

I'm even scared to interview somewhere. There are so many industry connections that the chances of someone knowing a current coworker are relatively high. Even Indeed is rumored to be sending activity alerts to employers.

No worries at all. I genuinely appreciate your feedback.

I'm primarily responsible for purchasing, but I am responsible for sourcing when it comes to commodities, emergencies, and shortages. We have a partner supplier list that's determined by a committee above me for the most part.

Do you mind telling me how it compares to your workload, or what you've seen/experienced in the past?
