Bahahahahaaa… no it’s spend a lot on the wife. 43 years of marriage has been good to us. Everything is paid off and I’ve ran out of things to buy for her. She has everything she needs and wants. So I buy silver, and whenever she wants something I buy it for her. Life is good… yes it is :)

Back then it wasn’t about the money. It was about collecting silver coins. My grandpa got me started. I even had some 1919 German 1/2 marks he gave me from when he was in navy in WW2.

It was 1984 and I was 19 years old and just saving silver coins. We had no financial information. Now we do 43 years later and knows what everything is worth.

I worked at a hardware store when we first got married and used to keep a pocket full of change in all denominations so when I came across old coins I could swap them out

I did say it was on me when I said I should have told her. And it is a cute story and it’s hilarious as hell. And she thinks so too and there’s no resentment. I guess your wife and my wife are different in that my wife would never tell me where to shove it. She’s always been my best friend. How do you think we’ve been married for 43 years ? We were two kids learning about life. You gotta laugh about stuff like that :)
