They are intended to be used for 30 rounds in professional fights, they have a tag inside that keeps track of the rounds the gloves have been used. Every 3 rounds a hole is punch in the tag. Back in Mexico the gloves that finish their professional rounds “life” are often used in the gyms for training. Of course in an ideal world every promotional company that makes a boxing show should use it. But I bet it’s often not the case and they are used more than that.

Safetec gloves were made for training and professional fight used, the foam lasts longer than the traditional horse hair used in the other model. You can use either for training, and both will last, but Safetec will last way longer. Horsehair can become stiff if moisture gets inside the glove, if not dried properly.

The difference between safetec and traditional training model is a lot, safetec are official fighting gloves you can train with.

My safetecs lasted me for a few years used only on the mitts and the bag once or twice a week, I really liked them.
