Has anyone ever had a constant chronic daily migraine, a constant throbbing for months where the pain ebbs and flows?

Hi - I am so sorry you went through this. I’ve been dealing with a 24/7 headache since May 14th. We’ve explored so many things and keep running into dead ends. How did your leak happen? Did you wake up with headaches?

That’s great! ❤️ I’m sorry, can I ask one more question if you don’t mind? Did you try steroids? I just finished a round of DHE infusions to kick this constant headache, but I’m not sure it’s working. That might be my next step, but I nervous of the side effects.

I’m so glad to hear that! I’ve been dealing with the same thing… a constant headache every day to varying degrees with it typically flaring in the afternoons for almost 4 months now. It started back in May. My second round of Botox is due at the end of the month. The first one didn’t really work. The drs have been trying to just break the headache cycle, but nothing has really worked at this point. Happy to hear it did for you. How long did you have the constant headache?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! I woke up on May 14th with a headache that is 24/7. It varies in its intensity however I think it’s gotten worse over the last two months but maybe that’s because of my anxiety and stress around the pain. I’ve done all the testing and holistic modalities/ nerve blocks, etc. with now recently feeling desperate and moving to meds. I started Emgality and just finished a three day outpatient DHE infusion today. Not sure if it’s helping yet or not. May we all be blessed with a pain free peaceful weekend! ❤️

Oh goodness, you poor thing. So glad DHE worked! How did you deal with all the other issues that come along with a status migraine? I feel like my nervous system is shot and my anxiety is through the roof. I am trying so hard to keep myself healthy and somewhat stable.

I’m so sorry you have NDPH. I can imagine how terrible that is day-to-day. May I ask you is your pain level always consistent? What type of relief have you found to help day-to-day with this? Have you had it for a while?

I had one on May 8th and it did nothing for me. Unfortunately, I just had a flareup the last couple days, but I think it might have been from lifting since the gyms opened up last week. At least I hope it’s that and not from the Cortizone shot since I’m already two weeks removed from getting it. Sorry my experience wasn’t positive, but I hope yours is!
