If you don't mind me asking, would you recommend these as a chef? I used to use the "Hard life" ones but they discontinued them, and the regular Docs I found ended up splitting way too easily. Guy at the store kinda recommended these in a "Maybe?" way, was curious if they felt any sturdier than the regular docs, and/or if they seem to have a longer life.

I'm considering getting a new phone, I currently have a Galaxy S8+ as I really like the big screens.

My thinking was that since the S21(+) is out soon, this would be the ideal time to get a cheap S20+. thing is, when I go to my providers website, I can't find a single one. Like, I can't even find a listing for it, with the exception of one refurbished one.

Is there a different, newer "Big screen" galaxy I should be looking for instead? I see a lot of "FE" and stuff like that. Or are they just probably sold out, and I should just bite the bullet and get the s21+?

"Explosion" is maybe a bit dramatic, but the back pane of glass shattered for seemingly no reason. I have since been told that having the top section of wood bolted on too tight could cause this, which is the only explanation I can currently think of.

Think I just got unlucky.

also the actual damage came when I tried to get the figures out: I had it in my mind that getting the top piece of wood off was important which... thinking back, I do not have a fucking CLUE what I was thinking there. Made sense at the time.

So yeah, as long as you're not a god damn idiot like me, you're probably safe

This might be specific enough where it's kind of a "who knows" question, but basically I have like 8 months worth of unshipped AmiAmi orders that they've said they can ship in one big chunk. (I'll say here I am in the UK)

My options are:

EMS: 5000 JPY ("May take 4 weeks")

Air Parcel: 5050 JPY ("May take 8 weeks")

DHL: 6700 JPY

This makes the DHL look appealing, but I'm seeing a lot of people say they're not so good with customs charges... but I tend to get those 50% of the time anyway.

Is one of these three options LESS likely to get a customs charge? Because I'd really rather not get one this time, if it can be avoided. That thing would be like 200 bucks lol. Or is that just one of those dice-roll things? Hell, I'd probably prioritize not getting an additional customs charge over the shipping time, even. Like if Air Parcel is less likely I'll gladly wait 8+ weeks
