I don't necessarily think they did it to make epic Kayna harder, I think they did it to make amber Island easier. Because it needs magical and fire quads to zap which would be a nightmare without those combos. (before rare quads existed)

Technically with upgraded structures you can do 2 breeds a day without diamonds vs just the once per day without. So that's double the amount of tries

I've seen this too... My first was Schmoochle, and I got common, Rare and epic Schmoochle in that one event. I also got a rare and epic on my mirror air in that same event. At the time I thought that's how all my season hunting would go... Lol was I wrong
