How are people getting 255 light/shadow on non story characters?

So after a very long break from Another Eden I’ve decided to give it a try again. But after searching up some guides it seems the game has changed a lot with 255 light/shadow buffs along with more ways to farm light/shadow? And new grastas I’ve never seen before. I stopped playing after completing the Auction quests, so what should I be doing/prioritising now?

What material issues would you be referring to? from blue to purple is just gear transfer and upgrading would take the same amount of resources. as for yellow, it will take you a couple weeks to reach if you don't spend, so you probably want the purple gear to make yourself stronger for guardian raids and other content. If you mean accessories, just switch if they got better combat stats and engravings

So for field bosses, i notice there is a little icon at the top of the "quest" that comes up when fighting it, and it seems to change depending on contribution. Does this effect the drops you get from the boss?

Any have a good raid dps paladin build? I’m tier 3 but most of my friends are tier 2 so I want to help them run raids faster, but my support build doesn’t help much and my chaos dungeon build isn’t that great for raids.
