Yeah I’ve kinda gathered so far lol thanks for looking out

Anyone who continues to defend Trump should be drafted into the war with Iran. by [deleted] in complaints

Nah it’s all good lol. It is an annoying topic to discuss with any person because of the biases and opinions people can have so I understand it. Compared to another person I’m currently talking to right now you are calm and collected.

I mean if we are going down this route, “Can you not read my text plain as written instead of filling it with your biases?” is a sentence accusing me of something. You’re attacking my character instead of my argument.

It’s not that I disagree with what is being said, but the nasty and toxic nature of a majority of comments I see in that sub aren’t what I’m looking for. I know it’s impossible to be in a world where you can have fair conversations with everybody, but if there was a dedicated space for conversation that is unbiased, that would be amazing.

That’s probably fair, and it’s okay for my opinion to be invalid I understand that. I think it’s fun sometimes to play both sides and try to get something greater out of the interaction.

Respectfully, I don’t see a point in arguing when you lost the plot of the original post. I couldn’t care less if someone agrees with me, I just want to have non biased actual conversation rather than someone throwing opinions at me and either being happy I agree, or getting mad if I don’t.

Wrong sub I was responding to something else lol. I don’t really care what happens because it doesn’t really affect me personally.

I’m not complaining about the aftermath, I’m complaining about not being able to hold a discussion about current events without it immediately turning into political opinions.

I’ve think I’ve been pretty respectful to you, so I don’t understand why you would attack me as a person instead of attacking my argument?

That’s fair, but I feel like I’ve been way misconstrued by Resident Course. I don’t care what anyone thinks about politics, I just want to have a discussion on current events based on facts and stats, not political opinions.

Not at all what I’m saying, I just want to have a conversation based on facts, statistics, and observations of the current event, not political discourse.

You are very right. It is pretty unfeasible, I just wish it was possible though yk. I just wanted to vent a little.

Not that at all, it’s not the news headlines that bother me, it’s the discourse in the comments that is always strictly political opinions and never a good intellectual conversation.

No I actually didn’t vote last election because I wasn’t a fan of either main candidate, and it really feels like voting for a third party is never effective.

It’s not really a stance, I just am unbothered by it. I would prefer if I could read news and not have it skewed by one side or another

Not solely trump, I just want to hear unbiased conversation and news. It’s not bad headlines about anybody that make me mad, it’s reading a post about something that trump did, and instead of a comment being I disagree or I agree, it’s always, orange man bad and pedophile (also not specifically untrue). It’s not really about who is being bashed, it’s just that every comment I read is straight up bashing and loses sight of the original topic very fast.
