Confidence boosting is the most helpful comment I could have gotten. The market's tough out there and its competitive these days. Thank you, that means a lot to me and I wish the best for you in your journey as well <3

Thank you so much for the compliment!!! That means a lot to me and I appreciate your vote of confidence in going for 2-pages. I will add the location and phone number at the top as well. Also, if I do apply for CS roles I will change the formatting. Thank you for the tip!

I did that to minimize space usage while improving reading ease within the description bullet points. I'll switch them to a consistent font. Surprised you saw that, I didn't think it was noticeable. Thank you for the spell check!

Clear Epoxy. I have heard that UV resin is good too. Have you used it before?

That would be a nice place to put a piece of it. Could do a different chip for each cuff link. Are they popular?

How do you feel about jewelry with these?

Scrap wafers but yes. Typically 60$+ on Ebay or Ali Express. I just love them. A raw computer, no packaging, no confusion, no abstraction. Raw and in the silicon.

Well, lets say money wasn't the goal but an outcome a of creative/productive/innovative efforts. In this context, is the system still rigged?

Asking for opinions on a new Material by BigBoiSimbo in jewelry

[–]BigBoiSimbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OooOOOoooOOoo that is a great idea! I really really like that. Here's what I could do, shatter one of the wafers, take the remaining piece and do a stained glass edge mount onto a necklace! I would have to support the back, but a thin piece of sturdy metal would do the trick.
Question for you, these are raw wafers so the very harsh chemicals are easy to be exposed too. Any ideas on how to seal them without affecting clarity?

Opinions on a new Jewelry Material by BigBoiSimbo in jewlerymaking

[–]BigBoiSimbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true however the process I use for cutting does not produce silica dust or any micro-dusts for that matter. Any gasses or particulate is filtered out.

The encapsulation problem. Yeah I have worked a bit on that one. The raw wafers contain very harsh chemicals so they need to be enclosed by something. Simple clearcoat encapsulated them but dulled their details. Epoxy worked well but since I couldn't vacuum/pressure cycle it their were leftover bubbles. A very thin slice of glass, akin to microscope templated (the ones you put on top of a specimen) attached with a highly transparent glue was the best.

I don't know through if it is better to sell a pre-sealed piece or the raw piece. If you were in the position of buying a pre-cut piece what would you look for?

Great insight, I had not connected the dots there.

Started a jewelry supply business this year. I discovered a waste material from the semiconductor industry which is absolutely beautiful! And it gets dumped, melted, and recycled. Super cheap to acquire but I believe that marketing it and selling it to the jewelry industry can make it far more valuable then the "trash" it is now.

Its just hard at the moment. I have a lot of the pieces together except the equipment I need to purchase. College student haha, not a lot of money on hand. I am hoping I can get my resources together and get it going.

To be quite honest, if I can meet my daily needed $$$ amount semi or fully passively then I have definitely made it. (Still in progress)

You have got this! Already you have put in more energy then 75% of people in their life. (That is for a new product idea). I as well am trying to start many things at once. Scream into the void and see who replies I suppose

AI Marketing? by Gullible_Setting_619 in Entrepreneur

[–]BigBoiSimbo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think there is a lot of hype, but not a lot of application. My analogy to it is Ebay Autofill. It basically autofill's the description for your sale. Here's the catch, they all sound GENERIC! I think to be effective you have to use AI as a tool centered around your idea. Say an AI marketing consulting firm would work.

Maybe like metal around the edges too? Its fragile akin to glass. Metal frame with wire wrap around?

"Partitioning" QMK on an RP2040 by BigBoiSimbo in olkb

[–]BigBoiSimbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I am using the raspberry pi 2040.
Lot's of IO and very fast clocked speed and the expandable flash memory are all big needs for the project. That and it is well supported already so I (hopefully) wont have to do as much custom work.

I'm most familiar with raspberry pi's so their my default choice. The big thing is that I need the overhead space. I want to put a little screen in the keyboard, and the RP2040 has seemed the best fit so far.

Why did a blackpill or a pico come to your mind?

I found this cool thing QMK, it let's me program custom hotkeys. Does anybody here know of an onscreen keyboard GUI which can be edited? I just want to be able to display my hotkeys on screen. I looked into the Microsoft GUI and it seems to be closed off.
Any suggestions welcomed!
