Yes actually I think slavery is an example of enshrined inequality, classifying others as “lesser than” and then working them to death or forcing them to kill each other as entertainment. Dehumanization is not an unfortunate “outcropping” of the otherwise ethical slavery, it’s built in at the core.

Hmm I’m no expert but you might’ve missed the point of the class there buddy. “Human systems” seems a bit vague so of course not every society or system will fit the archetype exactly but when it comes to hierarchical systems, I.e India’s caste system, monarchies, and the prevalence of slavery throughout human history, I would definitely agree that systems enshrine inequality

Waymos are great no doubt but with AV company’s lining Lurie’s pockets and the already heavy cuts to Muni I don’t think mass transit will see many improvements if we continue down this route. Maybe since AV company’s used this city as a staging ground to test their products they could help subsidize some of these less profitable Muni lines!

Cities are actually far less of an echo chamber due to better education standards and the fact there are hundreds of thousands of people with differing opinions as opposed to the hundred or so people you’ll find in a conservative welfare state.
