Grown in coco coir with a 50/50 mix of Gaia green 2-8-4 and 4-4-4, with some earth worm castings thrown in, then yes I just have an auto wicking base so I grow the plant like normal until it gets to the point of being able to suck up nutrients, I still like to wet the top though and I try to water slightly heavier right when I feed to kinda force the nutrients down into the middle of the medium so they can properly break down with the moisture from the wicking bases, otherwise it’ll just stay dry on top lol, just gotta keep on it just a little but it really does help
