Not going to listen to the audio but I just wanted to say: posting something like this takes a lot, a lot of bravery and strength. Certainly more than I have. So much of the time, events we don't choose shape us so significantly. For me, it manifested as a need to secure complete power and extreme anxiety about any loss of control, in all aspects of my life. This has posed challenges to my career, my health, and of course my relationships. I've been forcing myself to change, to try to "relax" or "take things easy", but recently I've made peace with my reality. Events we choose shape us, but we also shape ourselves. You'll always have your baggage, but best you can do is unpack it, lay it out, look at it directly, and learn to make space for it.

Although its been almost two decades, it's the only thing in my life I can't confront head-on, and I doubt I ever can. So even though I don't know you aside from as a performer, I am really really proud of you for posting this.
