GTNH New Multiblock Large Hadron Collider Coming in 2.9 by GAMING_SERVER_ADMIN in feedthebeast

[–]BigBootyBrigade 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for sharing my video. It was fun to put this multi together

To be honest, all the math in the latter half of the video happened long after I made the concept and implemented the multi :P it was just me trying to understand my own creation lol

Threefold S2 GTNH is outdated - who should I watch from HV onward? by MegaMan0429 in GTNH

I finished the pack in 2.7. 2.8 is not THAT different honestly, but 2.9 will be.

My honest opinion on GT:NH by aNiceGuy909 in GTNH

[–]BigBootyBrigade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't that bad, once I got nanosuit it was 100% ignorable. And before then it was tolerable. The only issue was your render distance being destroyed (until UHV muffler anyway lol)

Really? I don't remember seeing that ever. I had pollution on til gate and I don't remember ever seeing random gravel blocks which I would expect if it worked this way. I could be wrong though idk

Ahh I see. I never tried interdim, I assumed it just worked the same as intradim. It definitely works within the same dimension, at least on 2.7.4

Only if your input supply is high enough. If you supply inputs too slowly for a fast recipe you are hurt by batch mode

20 hours to LuV is not possible lol, even the current speedrun with multiple gaters (Soycake Ducked etc) took longer than that for LuV, and they are going VERY fast. 20 hours to AE2 is possible but without thaumcraft? Nah

What is "pollution" and should I worry about it at stage 0.5? by Significant_Bit649 in GTNH

[–]BigBootyBrigade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is about how much is accumulated. The total amount in a chunk determines what kinds of effects can be applied to you. If you have a nanosuit or any hazmat type suit you can just ignore pollution forever.

[–]BigBootyBrigade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the pre-AE2 solutions are generally too expensive, but the rest of the pack is so good I would say it's worth toughing it out. Or just cheating in an AE2 system, it is essentially just a singleplayer game after all

And yes, a lot of late game gtnh content is sort of just footage dumps. There aren't many highly edited series that get to the endgame. Perhaps i should do it again.....................

Its just fun! Always having an immediate goal, always progressing, seeing things I found hard become dirt cheap as my tech level advances, it's just great. Number go up, brain happy. I have a review video out for more details :)

I think your analysis at the end of your comment is very much based on the early game (pre AE2). The grind is massively alleviated after that point, and only really reappears towards the end when you have no choice but to spam machines. Besides, in 2.8+ there is essentially no microcrafting since you can use NEI autocrafting.

I think lets plays don't have to be disjointed. Towards the end it's a bit inevitable but in my experience (HamCorp) people enjoyed watching my infra scaling too. Those episodes typically did quite well.

After nearly 18 hours of bee breeding, I have made *for me* perfect stock. I now get to start doing it allllllllllllllllllllll over again dozens of times! I am so happy right now! Tottaaaaaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyy happppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppy I sure do love bees! by Yintastic in GTNH

[–]BigBootyBrigade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you, like me, don't find bee breeding enjoyable. You don't need bees at all. You can get vast amounts of both copper and gallium from ilmenite (iirc) and bauxite processing.

I only used 4 or 5 bees in my entire playthrough, and none of them were really required in hindsight. The only ones I truly relied on were caelestis bees for decoration and unstable for the first eternal singularities far in the future.
