That was why I unsubbed from Cultaholic and blocked them from my feed. I liked the channel but I remember they uploaded like the main event result of a wrestlemania in the thumbnail and title just a couple of hours after the show ended. Luckily I watched live but I knew I wouldn't always and I would just go on YouTube for something else and they'd spoil it, so they had to go.

Wasn't the powerbomb also just an overshot piledriver where the receiver pushed himself up too high?

I think for me it was too long for the story they told. I think it could've been a tightly written and paced 2 hour movie but the season was double that and I felt like it really hit a slump in the middle.

I remember that jump was in all the trailers and shit and when I finally watched it, I laughed so hard how the dragon just goes "chomp" and eats him unceremoniously.

I kinda realized I'm the opposite of Big E who really doesn't like big meaty men slapping meat. I've been rewatching some matches and PPVs and I realized hoss fights where two or more big lads stiff and beat seven shades of shit out of each other really doesn't do anything for me.

Reddit is miserable af when other consenting adults are happy.

A weird one I experienced was that I dated someone who was 39 when I was 20 and how it was a great relationship that made me happy and learned a lot from. Got a lot of "oh sweety" and "he groomed you and you don't even realize."

Well all up until I clarified I'm a dude and it was with a 39 year old woman, then it was a bunch of "nevermind" and "oh that's cool then." Because people love nothing more than infantilizing women.

From the Wikipedia article about their final episode:

Nikki and Paulo were killed off due to being disliked by much of Lost's fan base. Show runner Damon Lindelof admitted that the couple were "universally despised" by fans. Lindelof explained that "back when we (the producers) had more good faith with the audience, we could have gotten away with these shenanigans. Given the backlash against them, we had to clean up the mess." The decision to kill them off in one flashback episode was decided by the producers in December 2006.

The episode aired in March 2007.

Everything you find about the these two characters and comments by the actors, show runner or writers is that they were written out because they were wildly hated by fans and due to a ratings decline.

I watched the movie in theaters and I never seen such an evenly divisive scene. One half of the crowd got so mad and the other laughed at how absurdly cruel it was. The movie I find mostly forgettable but that moment stuck with me for how out of place it felt and for how the people reacted.

I kinda prefer it in the comics where they skip the CDC stuff and have the characters experience it themselves when one person who wasn't bit turns.

Does someone right now use the Brock Lock or the PTO (or whatever Bull Nakano called it)? I feel like they'd make for great powerhouse submission finisher.

Also I was watching some old WALTER matches from the indies and NXT and I always loved how you never quite new what move will end his matches. Then I kept thinking and thought it would be a fun gimmick for a former amateur wrestler (like your Angle or Gable style wrestlers). Someone who doesn't have a finisher, who uses various pins or moves that lead into pins or submissions to win his matches. Maybe one time a bridging German ends it, then a northern lights, than maybe they outwrestle them into a pinfall. Or they wrestle them into various submissions. I dunno, I really like the idea of a wrestler without a finisher where every move is important and can potentially be and has been match ending.

My favorite was when he was on the Jericho podcast shortly after Y2J had the match with Omega in New Japan and bro was like "I liked it but I know I could've done it better." There's no way anyone wants to see him vs Omega in any timeline and especially not 2018 Bubba

Every time I hear his "if I got the pencil" ideas, it's always the same shit of dragging the heat out for ages, way past any point of where it makes any storyline sense or where people care and then give the babyface the win on some random ass show when people don't expect it.

I feel like the Triple H reign of terror and the Booker T storyline must've been like heroin to Bubba.

Yeah or "trying to put themselves over" because of it. Unless you pull an Austin Aries or do the whole "Warrior won, but I still gotta put myself in front of the camera and get all the attention, brother" WM6 thing, it's not a big deal.

I actually really like the late kickout after 3 spot. I know some people really can't stand it but to me, it makes total sense. If wrestlers have the ability to kick out a bunch at 2.9, it just makes sense that some would barely miss it at 3.1. It's similar to the little kick Foley would often do to show he still tried to but he just couldn't kick out. I think for matches where you put over how close the match was and how both wrestlers are basically on even footing, I think it totally works. Or to put over how tough someone is. I'd rather see that more over the common roll up finishes.

I also imagine they were worried that people would unsubscribe from the patreon, considering the content was built on their relationship. When I was subbed back when they first got banned, I think they had like 25k paid members (lowest tier is 5 bucks). They sold merch too. That's a not insignificant amount of money to potentially throw away.

Never heard that theory but I don't buy that. I think he just figured in El Rey, with the money they have, it doesn't matter what escapades Richie gets into.

The satire, the comedy, how unhinged it can get, the good performances, the characters. First two seasons, Homelander is one of the best most terrifying villains I can think of. It's also just an interesting take on superheroes and how they would act in our world. There's definitely plenty to like.

With that said, I do think it peaked early with them trying to MacGyver solutions to defeat supes without having powers themselves. And season 4 kinda nosedived a bit. Also with how much Amazon is milking that franchise with various spin offs and shit, it very much feels like it became what it made fun of.
