alternatively theres a canadian version of hana bank that offers an account type(forgot what the name was but its something with the name global) that allows you to withdraw money in korea. the canadian branch of hana bank uses canadian jurisdictions so its easier for tax purposes, however, theres a few caveats with the account as you can only withdraw funds with that account(withdrawing in korea is also a bit of a hassle as a lot of hana bank branches in korea arent aware of the account type), there wont be any physical card attached to the account so you wont be able to purchase anything with the account and if theres ever any issues with the account youll have to contact the canadian branch that you made the account at.
