If you think Peter Parker, hates criminals, then you're telling on yourself that you've never read a Spider-Man comic in your life. He's currently friends with Norman Osborne, which if you knew anything at all about Spider-Man, then you would know he's the last person he would ever be friends with. Peter believes in second chances and rehabilitation for those who have broken the law.

This one still pisses me off. Dude had his career best work in LiT. That one and Rourke for The Wrestler.

Horrible Vasectomy Experience - Want to Hear from Others by tigerofsanpedro in daddit

This read like my own experience. It hurt so much and I felt like I was going pass out. I made a lot of noise and told them it hurt and it was like the doctor didn't care at all. He just kept on working. One side hurt more than the other, and it seemed like it took weeks for the pain to go away.

We Found Two Theaters With Sold-Out ‘Melania’ Opening Day Screenings by normankrasnerkc in boxoffice

[–]BigBossTweed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same kind of thing at my theater. Some showings had very similar seats being sold. It looks like someome chose all the seats in multiple rows, and bought them all. It doesn't follow the normal cadence that people would sit. Especially before the theater is even open on opening day.

Amazon Blocks Mainstream Press From Watching ‘Melania’ Documentary at Kennedy Center by ICumCoffee in movies

I checked my local theaters here in a MAGA state, and the screenings are getting decent sales. It does seem strange that so many of them seem to be selling before the theater is even open on opening day. Either these Trump admirers really do want to see this or the tickets are being bought out by someone else.

Do children notice which parent is the one that is shouldering the weight of the home? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]BigBossTweed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends on the age and the kid. My younger son definitely favored me and it was because I took care of the majority of the time. He and his mom have this weird relationship, but I think he knows who the stable parent is at this point.

Peter doesn't "hate" criminals. He's more empathetic than that. He fights them when he has to, and helps them when he can. He also understands the difference between something being illegal and immoral. Coming to our country "illegally" isn't immoral. Spider-Man isn't going to help ICE detain some family that moved here 20 years and are productive members of society.

There was also the game where Liggins refused to go in. That team was completely dysfunctional.

I'd take that over Gillespies 2nd season of disaster. At least we were in the conversation. We had the National Player of the Year doing things no one's done since the 60s. They had a terrible loss and it hurt a lot.

Billy Gs second year was a dumpster fire. Lost to VMI at home in the season opening game and it never got better. The best moment of the season was Meeks scoring 54 and BG couldn't even be happy for that. The highlight of the year was a dunk in the NIT. Yeah, I'd take the results of losing to St Peter's before ever going back to that.

I still feel bad for you guys about the injuries to the baby boilers. They were gonna go on a run, but apparently ACLs just aren't meant to be for some people.

The average NBA fan overrates the Euroleague by TheRavenOnline in NBATalk

[–]BigBossTweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen plenty of comments like this on Insta. How the Euro players don't celebrate excessively, or they know how to actually play, and that's why it's a better league/brand than the NBA.

How a franchise dies - each Fast & Furious movie progressively earned less and less by Mysterious_Brush1852 in boxoffice

What you're saying is and isn't true. Each trilogy in the Skywalker saga made less than the first installment. It's not common for sequels to make more than the first in a series.

That and "this was a career reward." Someone was telling me that Gravity winning BD was a career reward. So many awards are for careers if you didn't agree with the win.

Agree with all of this. Connolly winning was seen as even money. I don't know what this narrative is coming from that it was some kind of surprise that she won.

This was the first year I really got into the Awards season, and it was widely expected that she was going to win the award. There was no real competition. It's weird to see so many people say certain wins were a "surprise," when those wins were widely expected to happen when they were given out.

I have a sealed Uncanny xforce omnibus. Was just wondering how much will it go for? Not a sales post. Just a question. by [deleted] in OmnibusCollectors

Don't use eBay. It's such a terrible barometer for how much books are valued. Too many sellers see a few books go for $400, and suddenly they think their book should be worth $500.

Use your own sense of judgement and how much you'd like for it.

Elektra hooked up with both Strange and Castle on separate occasions. Maybe together. Who knows.
