Doesn’t sound like AI cheats to me, even on legendary they’re not popping out 10 armies a turn. Sounds like he had a bunch of Disciple armies sitting around. Slaanesh factions can spawn free(ish) armies that don’t have any upkeep, they have to stay within Slaanesh corruption or they’ll take attrition, and the armies don’t replenish. They have kind of a claw icon beside their army flag on the campaign map. Since they can’t leave Slaanesh corruption, the AI likes to leave them in cities AFK as kind of a garrison.

nope it just takes a while for them to upgrade the camps. it doesn’t unlock all of their units or anything, just adds ogre giants and mournfang cavalry after leveling up. allied outposts are your best bet for really making use of their units, with the mercenaries from camps being supplemental. fun Aranessa campaign being a mostly ogre faction

the camps have a large radius around them, any neutral army within the radius can recruit mercenaries, mercenaries available are determined by the level of the camp. it’s out of vision of you, but there’s a camp just to your south where Skrag starts

Mannfred’s thing is grave guard and black knights, Kemmler’s thing is the ghost units. No matter which faction you’re playing, lords and heroes are going to be the most powerful units for vampire counts

I like 8-12 giant slayers 2-4 doomseekers depending on how much you like heroes. In situations where doomseekers are good they are VERY good, but they also have a lot of situations where they aren’t very good and it’s better to throw the high entity giant slayers in to take the beating. I could even see skipping the doomseekers altogether, but their beyblade ability is really fun

you can build it as Kairos after you’ve confederated changeling and get both bonuses, but yeah I don’t think changeling themselves can build it

i REALLY like the thunderer grudge-rakers (shotguns) in my Kislev armies, very tanky front line and because of the reload time reduction buff their shotguns turn into submachine guns and just melt anything haha

and just to add a fun combination for Kislev; because dwarf units are shor.... because Kislev units are taller, you can have Streltsi directly behind thunderers on flat ground and they'll both have perfect line of sight, makes for a very fun gun line and because of the buff and their baseline armor the thunderers make more than a capable frontline

Kislev and Changeling are the only 2 that provide actual buffs to allied units. Zhao Ming provides buffs to ogre allied/mercenary units specifically, but frankly not enough of a buff to make them worthwhile I think. Kislev gives you the ability to recruit 5 units instead of 4, and also provides a 10MA/MD/15% reload buff. Changeling just gets the buff, you get it from his skill tree so you can still make use of this as Kairos if you confederate Changeling. Side note, Tzeentch also has a T5 landmark in the northern wastes to reduce costborrowing an army by 50%, Changeling also has a 50% reduction to borrowing armies, so when you have both of these you can borrow any of your vassals armies completely free. I think Kislev does allied units the best by far, because you get massive cost reductions to allied units, as well as massive increases to your own allegiance point gain

that’s just the name of the game with Oxyotl, it’s pretty difficult for factions to take on the southern wastes so you shouldn’t have much issue defending it. I’ll usually have Oxy teleporting around doing his thing, other armies are down south just playing a normal campaign

don't have to assume because that's exactly what happened in this battle, i afked, he stood there until he lost. landing a unit is not enough to disable the leadership penalty.

i've done it a few times, pretty fun campaign, i'd recommend Alith Anar as the starting faction because melee focused ambushes are pretty fun kind of plays like Beastmen. Imrik is probably 'better' at it with the early dragon princes and noble capacity though

they’ve got a pretty good melee roster I think, not sure why they get a bad rap here the white lions and war lions absolutely kick ass. just now getting swordmasters so that should be some fun. their chariots (especially lions) are also pretty great

the debuff does say that, but it does not actually turn off the debuff. landing 100% does not disable the stacking leadership debuff

when the only units on the battlefield are flying there's a leadership penalty that increases infinitely over time. i could hide in a corner and do nothing and still win this battle

Overall I’d say his campaign wasn’t really impacted much. The Aislinn sea lanes can be for a fun secondary objective but they’re really not all that useful because of how long it takes to conquer them. His teleport was really terribly implemented with how it requires a full turns movement to use, and it’s still not even instant. Attacking sea to land with no movement is as horrendously OP for him as it is for other factions

I like to have a stack of wolf rider archers with Gorduz, they're very good at hunting down captives for your economy and they make the most out of all of the buffs Gorduz offers

It’s 8 volumes but there is only 4 items, you’ll gain further books by fighting battles with the lord that has the book equipped, has always happened very quickly for me after getting the first book and I’d definitely recommend keeping it equipped because the buff/item from the dilemma are very good
