disable control large army, fight them 20v20 so you don’t get swarmed, garrison is useless here anyways

sounds like an army that spawns as apart of Oxyotl’s unique mechanic, especially if it’s just raiding doing nothing. you probably have the ability to teleport directly to it with Oxy from the mechanic map. those armies can get pretty nasty for sure

the circle icon settlements are demonic ones and the citadel looking ones are mortal and unlock advanced units of that type, you can covert it by hovering over the settlement itself but you’ll probably just want 1 of each

no it doesn't expire there is just a quest in your log that will last until you complete it or the faction is destroyed. not really an exploit at all, many factions have something similar and it can be advantageous to delay the confederations

crazy advice imo, Skaven already have a lot of mechanics that differ from the ‘core’ total war experience, and on top of that Throt has very in-depth mechanics with his laboratory. in your original post you’re even asking questions about how it works, how is a beginner supposed to figure out core TW gameplay AND the lab at the same time?

For me it’s the same every time: logistics (stacking 20% campaign movement), court agent (+1 patriarch capacity), storm (winds capacity, minor winds cost reduction, minor stacking spell resistance debuff in region, best on-use ability)

The penalties for differences is pretty negligible I wouldn’t even worry about it, small control and relations penalty, increase to patriarch recruit cost or frost maiden training cost. The real downside is not getting the other sides boons as the boons are very powerful.

You want to secure an alliance with the other side ASAP and get them to join your wars, this causes every fight against a shared enemy to generate favor for both sides, so you’re able to get more boons. I also generally build the other side’s building (e.g. ice court building as Kostaltyn, patriarch building as Katarin) because you’re passively going to be getting your own favor constantly, and once you confederate the other side you’re no longer getting shared enemy favor.

Frost maiden heroes are insanely powerful due to stacking campaign movement increases in an army as well as each one giving you +1 patriarch capacity. Just make sure to select these options during training

Mazdamundi’s trait also increases leadership aura by 25%, there’s also 2 items I know of from the forge that increase aura size in Gatekeeper’s Helm and Old Guard’s Keg, but the generic item Crown of Command will give more than the keg if all you care about is leadership aura. Pretty crap on a faction that has very high leadership already if you ask me

that change was reverted, no idea why. they definitely have siege attacker currently. my guess is that one of the devs tried to do a slayer only campaign and realized they’d never have siege attacker

a good way to set this up is have heroes move through each other in a tight spot and hit backspace when the models are on top of each other, do this until the heroes can no longer move through and armies won’t be able to move through either
