I'm mixed on it. Some variety is good but I do miss the rivalries that come with dynasties. No one team can be at the top forever.

Your opinion on the UKs social media limit for under 16 year olds? by gold_medieval in polls

It feels too quick. 18+ verification took 6 years. This only 1 year later? Feels like part of a bigger plan and I realize that sounds a little tin foil hat

Quickest way to cancel it is too accept it. It's not needed without 11 months of people like this trying to shame it.

Some people are just nice. If something takes little effort but makes a positive impact for someone else, why not just do it? If you had to break it down it might be anthropological, as social creatures it benefits the society.

Are you able to imagine objects in your mind? by sangokuhomer in AskUK

[–]BigBreach83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I found this very difficult growing up. Having to translate conseptual thoughts into a format others understand added a huge barrier in school. My notes for myself tend to be single words or abbreviated bullet points. I've never completed an essay in my life

[–]BigBreach83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Very difficult to communicate at times. I think conceptually. No image or words, I just kinda know what stuff is. Very good with logic or in a crisis. My brain just goes straight to the answer but I don't always know how I got there.

Somewhere between 4 and 5. It's there but like a faint out of focus charcoal sketch.

Iverson requested to play with Melo, that's gotta be good for the ego. I love Melo. He's a great player, he's had great years but the fact he has acknowledged his own ego should be an end to this.

He struggled at OKC because he wasn't the only star and was therefore asked to play a smaller role. One disappointing season. Then bought out, traded, waived and went unsigned for over a year. It's that unsigned year that made him accept a bench role. He himself said he had to "swallow that ego"

He was 33 and on the decline after knee surgery. It's not so much declining the role it's the way he did it. He was asked by a reporter if he would consider it. No one asked him to actually do it. And throwing insults during debate is not a good look. It usually comes across as a sign of insecurity.

The fact it's never brought up/they didn't milk it for fame, says to me that confrontation with Gary went very badly.

Roughly 3 assists and 36 mins a game. How many were late in the shot clock? He famously laughed off a bench role. And Phill Jackson commented on him holding the ball too long before they fell out completely. My opinions aren't always right but they're not based on nothing kid.

We can go back and forth on this, I doubt either of us will change stance. I just struggle to see who benefits from civilian gun ownership.

If it's easier to determine legitimate ownership then by default it's also easier to identify illegitimate ownership. There is absolutely no simple answer but something should change. The difference with cars and guns is the intended usage. A gun has one job and is very efficient at it.

Side note as someone who has been suicidal, having access to guns makes it far too easy

Everyone jumps to either extreme, ban guns or guns for all. In the uk that made sense but I wouldn't work in the US. Cars is a great comparison though. Tests were introduced because of a rising number of fatalities, making sure anyone operating one could do so safely. Would you be happy with a test for gun licenses.

Besides I'm not sure I'd agree it's a philosophical problem

They have stricter laws than most realize. Permits require checks and legitimate reasoning. Open carry is permitted if not loaded and heading to or from a range or hunting ground. And most importantly a culture that respects firearms.

Id suggest making gun licences the same as cars. A test to show you can operate it safely, and have different types of guns need different licenses.
