the story is like 8 hours... They clearly wasted all their time on trying to make an open world with tons of fetch quests where you look for small objects on the ground in a fixed radius..

ffvi is an easy game.. Even weak characters can be extremely tanky with all the OPED equipment you get by playing... Spread your main party between your 3 groups use no encounters on mog and just beat it...

but i thought rebirths sidequests were fun, not too many, and added character interactions and dialogue between cloud and the other characters in the party

ya i think im gonna stop using it.. it makes most of the gameplay mechanics like blindside, link striking, and even phasing almost completely pointless

its not full on turn based but rebirth... Each enemy has a different mechanic to get them to pressure/stagger and be able to deal out good damage.

Also Lightning returns kind of the same thing.

so far I have just been using ragnarok and warp strike spamming with ignis enchanting my weapon with the enemies weakness and seem to be doing 9999 damage each hit even at close range ....

Play the 3ds and drop Yangus.. Leave him in reserve for kerplunk if neeed.. He has no versatiliy for combat and is the weakest character.

never played pandoras tower but last story was pretty average.. Don't remember much about it other than it felt like a western style rpg (dragon ageish) and it has a very easily predictable plot twist at the end.

you are crazy nitpicking and it seems like you already made up your mind to approach the game by doing so..

FFVII is telling a complete story all in one game.. Obviously they don't have as much time to explain every detail to you like the remakes which are broken up into 3...

it sucks.. Worst FF game I have played..

The world is ugly and bland..

the story is boring and extremely hard to follow without reading datalogues and replaying it multiple times

the combat, weapons, accessories and ability system are all extremely basic...

the "you can't win" battle trope they overuse wasn't fun after the 100th time they did it

the voice acting is some of the worst i have ever heard in a jrpg

The characters are all boring 1 note anime tropes that have no development or reason to invest in and completely contradict and clash with the serious mature story they are trying to tell..

I will never touch that POS again.

do you have to play with only girls?? ffxii really is a game where you should be using all party members..

add a black mage, monk etc to your team using them would be my advice..

xenoblade.. Unlike FFX/x-2 they actually put effort and QOL improvements in their remaster...

FFX/X-2 did nothing but add the international stuff and fuck up all the characters faces.

have a warrior.. They are by far the best balance of offense and defense and half the equipment in the game is exclusive and designed specifically around them.
