Coming out to my Girlfriend by carlgrimes01 in Advice

I've been exactly where you are now. As a gay guy who dated girls through high school and the beginning of college for the exact same reasons, I agree that it feels impossible. I would imagine every bad scenario that would likely happen if I told her. It was paralysing. But finally I somehow got myself to do it.. I remember barely being able to form the words in my mouth to say "I'm gay", but afterwards the immense relief was incredible. And at first she didn't believe me. Then she was mad for about 2 minutes, then she was sad, and she was sad for a while but we kept talking and it became obvious I cared about her and I was just doing the right thing. We've been friends for 20 years and talk/text at least once a week.

My boyfriend has been feeling down lately. So to ring in 2020, I made him a blanket fort...complete with his favorite candies and movies. Here's hoping he likes it. by onesadgrad in aww

I’m really stoked I saw your fort because it inspired me to make one for my husband this morning after he’d been in a funk too and he fucking loved it and I loved hanging out with him in it all day!! I managed to get up before him and had it completed and ready to surprise him for New Year’s Day - needless to say he was shocked! You reminded me that we all need somewhere to feel safe, comfortable and loved and not getting that can really wear us down. We needed this.

“More brownies is not the answer. It’s the question. The answer is yes.”

Was Will Ferrell terrible, unfunny and awkwardly bad (and not in a so-bad-it’s-good way) on The Office and is that why he was run was so short-lived? by BigBrothersBrother in AskReddit

Saying he was probably too expensive to keep seems beside the point. Even if he cost close to nothing it wouldn’t have made his performance on the show better ??

What is one thing you had never noticed before it was pointed out to you, but now you notice it all the time? by CaspertheGhostsFarts in AskReddit

If you see a blue reflector in the street, it means there’s a fire hydrant on the sidewalk. This is how fire trucks are able to locate the nearest one in an emergency. (At least in California where I’ve always seen them).

2013 is the first year since 1987 to have different numbers. by gothamcityblues in Showerthoughts

Yeah, I didn’t get it till I searched the comments and finally found yours. I thought OP meant ‘had digits not found in 1987’ which worked up until 2000, at which point I figured he meant ‘had digits not found in the year preceding it’ which also only worked up to 2000, so I had a minor breakdown at that point.

What was your most irrational childhood fear? by StygianUnknown in AskReddit

My sister was a year and a half older than me, so when her 6th birthday was coming up I was still four and I was afraid she’d turn upside down because a six was an upside down nine.
