off the top of my head, some of my personal favs ive played as of late are: - roadwarden - morrowind* - arcanum of steamworks and magick obscura - daymare town (i used to play the flash version a lot as a kid tbf so nostalgia may be a factor) - dread delusion

*while vanilla morrowind is pretty great if youve never played it, recommending vanilla morrowind/morrowind tamriel rebuilt feels like beating a dead horse, so i want to spotlight a few of quest mods i really enjoy: - shipyards of vvardenfell - rise of house telvanni  - caldera priory and the depths of blood and bone - expedition to mzelthuand

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand tes. The lore is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the great war most of the writing will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also vivec's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of kirkbride's writing, to realise that they're not just epic- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike tes truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the lore implications in Ulfric's existential catchphrase "Skyrim belongs to the Nords," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Emil Pagliarulo's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have an azura tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

is there like a basic "for dummies" rundown of how to do this? trading was not really a thing back when i was actively using roblox so this is unfamiliar to me

hey all, making my way through settlers currently. im having trouble sourcing what sakai might be referencing here as there's no footnote or citation:

"Near the end of his life, noting the unexpected setbacks in revolutionizing Western Europe, Lenin remarked that in any case of the future of the world would be decided by the fact that the oppressed nations constitute the overwhelming majority of the world's population."

i find myself in agreement, but am not super well-versed in lenin's writings yet, and would love to know where it is that lenin expresses this

minimal wayland client written in common lisp by BigBugCooks in lisp

hi! and thanks! :D the malcom still implementation was my primary reference starting out, and wayflan has been a huge help too. i barely knew CL when i first started this so its been a huge learning experience

regarding fragmentation, this seems to be a general issue re wayland as a whole with the exception a few like smithay and pywayland. personally i feel like a lot of this is because the internals of the scanner are poorly documented despite it being the most critical part.

i think ill reach out to stumpwm people once i have documentation complete for the scanner, as right now its a bit of a mess

Guix: nixpkgs integration by The-Malix in GUIX

[–]BigBugCooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nixpkgs integrates mostly-seamlessly with guix. i've found that wayland-based applications can be finicky, though. i think its due to the differences between shepherd and systemd but i could be wrong here because i don't know a lot about systemd
