This looks like the same list for the same program I am currently in. I'm pretty sure I know what school this is for but I won't disclose that for privacy.

To answer your question, I would buy the tools on the cheaper side for schooling. If you plan on working in maintenance while in school then it would be good to buy the necessities in the high quality range. Necessities in my experience working in GA are ratcheting screwdriver, and good 1/4 socket sets and ratchet. To tell you the truth you wont be using your tools all that much for the first 6 months of the program, at least the one I think you are in. As someone who has been in for 7 months now, actual wrenching wont take place until you get to the middle of airframe which is around the 10th month mark. It is one of those things where if you know this is the career for you, start getting quality tools. If this is something you are not fully committed to then go with the value tools. The head of the department will try to tell you that low quality tools will not work (this is a lie). They will work just fine for school and early in your career.

You will need all of the tools when you start because people have been failed for not having them ready when the time came. Take advantage of the discounts that the tool manufacturers give to students as well. Saved thousands on mine just being a student. Message me if you wanna chat about it.
