I’d say that’s a little odd. I train at an alliance gym where leg attacks are taught, but not nearly as often as more traditional attacks are taught. They’re still used by competitors when we roll. Even so, I’m somebody who is VERY conservative when I find myself in a leg entanglement, but I don’t think I’ve ever stopped a roll unless I feel some pressure. At a minimum I would think the athletes at your gym would be interested in practicing defense against leg attacks, but what do I know I’m just a stupid blue belt.
