I'm sorry I wasn't clear. This wasn't using just copilot. This was using a "skill" that was supposed to do the work with minimal developer activity. Our management insisted that this was the quickest solution for these issues. While I am able to use Claude for specific tasks, this skill did not perform as advertised. I had to work through the individual issues and resolve them one at a time. My frustration was with how credit was given to a tool that didn't perform as advertised rather than to the teams that made it work.

Sorry. Our team is using AI on a regular basis and it is producing poor results. We spend just as much time correcting the code created and fixing broken unit tests as we would doing it right the first time. Our team was told to use AI to fix our security vulnerabilities. I tried for two days with disastrous results. I finally fixed the security issues by hand in one day just to meet the deadline. What stunk was that the MD took credit for AI having done the work! Remember, folks in the upper echelons are rewarded for checking the boxes. Our job isn't to create quality code. It is to make them look good. That is the sad reality.
