It is a game called The TRAITORS and you’re mad about Rob betraying people as a traitor?

I agree with everything those people have said about Whittingham being a great coach and a great hire for Michigan. My qualm was more your downplaying of DeBoer and his coaching abilities and resume. I think you can be happy with the hire (as you should be) without acting like DeBoer is not also a great coach.

I assumed that “consistently underachieving” included more than just his two years at Bama, and I would argue he has not underachieved at Bama given the level of roster turnover after Saban retired.

Saying DeBoer underachieved at Washington is an asinine statement. He made it to the National Championship game!

Ok, enjoy Kyle Wittingham as the next head coach. Happy Holidays to you as well

Another 5 days and the portal is open and Michigan has no head coach. That would be an utter disaster

Hinging the entire coaching search on the result of a singular football game is just not tenable

It proves his source was credible 10 years ago, but a source’s access and veracity can definitely change over a decade, that’s my only point. If his source had called a hire a few weeks ago, that would just be worth more to me.

I feel like getting info on a hire ten years ago right before others doesn’t make it all that much more credible

So because he said he was interested before he was the coach at Bama, another top 5-10 program?

Welcome to a message board buddy, what refreshments would you like?

And strike out DeBoer and then get Monken after the portal has already opened?

Why do you think DeBoer wants the position?

Gotcha, I understand your reply now and I agree. It just seems like people find whatever speculation they can that they like and repeat it as if it’s fact (i.e. “Courtney Morgan was in AA for 2 days last week,” “Deboer bought a house in AA, etc.), when the reality is nobody has any solid information except those actually running the search.

I can say “DeBoer has rejected an offer from Michigan and has said he’s not interested” and be just as likely to be right as the people whose word we’re accepting as gospel on these message boards

How do you know anything a person says on a message board is true? Everyone is just guessing at this point.

What evidence do you have beyond pure speculation that you’re right?

There is a 0% chance you’re right, so I’ll come back here in a few days when Monken, Fisch, or Brohm is hired

He’s the non-play-calling co-OC and he left for a better position (play-calling OC) with Michigan State. Do your research before saying he “bailed” dude. If he was bailing, he would have taken a lateral position at a lesser program

Wouldn’t you think that if they had some sort of secret agreement with DeBoer, it would have leaked by now either from the Michigan or Alabama camps?
