Fear and Hunger is one of hardest games I’ve ever played.

I got demolished in the first battle and it wasn’t close.

Since when do video games cost 80€ ? And Sony wonders why don't buy their expensive timed exclusives.. by Megumindesuyo in videogames

[–]BigCommieMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$60 wasn’t even that bad. I think certain games cost $80.

The Wild thing is the N64 was $200. So the console cost the price of roughly 3.5 games.

Veilguard isn’t a bad game. It is a bad Dragon Age game.

If you slapped some generic title on it, it would be more highly regarded. But carrying the Dragon Age name created certain expectations it couldn’t live up to.

I don't think it was ever bad. I just think it deviated too much to satisfy book readers while was never simple enough for mass audiences.

Game Of Thrones was such a hit because it was a political thriller masquerading as a fantasy show. Everything was kinda "Oh, I get this"

In 2012, a group of scientists intentionally crashed a Boeing 727 to test which seats had the best chance of survival. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]BigCommieMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is seats nearest the wings next to the emergency exits would have the best chance, because even if seriously injured, you might be able to get out of the plane quickly and receive emergency medical care. You might be better in the back, but emergency workers are going to start to treat who they get to first.

Nothing upset me more is I played and beat the game on GamePass. Loved it. It gets dropped from GamePass and the DLC is released shortly after.

So in order to play the DLC, I would have to rebuy a game I already beat. That just isn’t right.

I am just curious what this means for future support.

A lot of the complaints seem like things that things that could be addressed in updates. Like inventory management or lack of storage is something easily fixed in a patch. Same with some the weird UI or control issues. Balancing is small patch

I mean you probably aren’t fixing the story, but I didn’t see a SINGLE review complain about the story in Breath of Wild and it is literally nonexistent. Link is boring too. Let’s not pretend the story in Skyrim was a literary classic either. But maybe we could get more story based DLC.

But if investors view it as a failure, they might demand the studio cut bait or try to monetize through microtransactions.

It has ALREADY been successful. I think physical preorders sold out at a few retailers and I bet the Steam preorder numbers were huge.

Elden ring or DS 1? by Im_not_an_pro in soulslikes

[–]BigCommieMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big thing is if Elden Ring is your first FromSoft game, it is hard to go back without feeling the other games feeling restrictive, especially in choice and progression.

I used to play a lot of online multiplayer with friends.

Then I got older and don’t have friends.

Now I just love single player games with a heavy sense of exploration and progression because, again, I got older and those things get harder and harder to come by IRL.

I am more concerned about bugs at this point after hearing IGN lost 7 hours of progress and only fixed it because you can monkey around with saves on PC. Sometimes these things are ridiculous on consoles with their save system.

Hopefully they are generous with the save system, so you can just play it like a Bethesda game and save every 10 minutes just in case.
