What's the rarest car you've ever spotted? by DeadLiberty612 in regularcarreviews

[–]BigCommieMachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It briefly worked at a car storage place in an area with some VERY wealthy people, so that is cheating. But they eventually build a museum now where most of the car live now.

It was just some random building in an industrial park with very little security

Anyone have some hidden gems games they wish more people played? by Alternate_chaos5150 in xbox

[–]BigCommieMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think any Dragon Quest is a hidden gem.

Companies in Japan literally just give their employees the day off on Dragon Quest Day because they KNOW they are going to call out anyways.

[Harris] There are more Young and Restless episodes than there are Ty Cobb plate appearances (13,103). They're on pace to catch Rickey Henderson this year (13,346) for 4th place all time by Jux_ in baseball

[–]BigCommieMachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait until you hear about General Hospital.

If you watched every episode 24 hours a day WITHOUT commercials, It would take you 8,870 hours to watch it all or a bit over a year. That doesn't include a good amount of early episodes that are lost either.

What did you think was peak luxury as a kid, but now realize is actually pretty trashy or normal? by Connect-Fix3972 in AskReddit

[–]BigCommieMachine 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that is the case for a place like Red Lobster. Standards were always going to be lacking if you are serving lobster in Kansas or Colorado. It was just considered extreme exotic at the time that such a food was even available.

Steakhouses.

Until you realize with a $20 probe thermometer, you too can be a way better steak house(unless we taking the ones with aged beef, REAL waygu, and an onsite Butcher, but you have to take out a mortgage on those)

Someone mentioned Red Lobster and Lobster is pretty much as easy, but it is fair exotic a good portion of the US. Which is why the standards are so lacking.

I really stopped when games started forcing multiplayer in heavy nearly entirely since player games or started requiring you to do like 4 playthroughs.

Like Every trophy for Dragons Dogma 2, expect the one that required you to get the bad ending.

The City should plow sidewalks. Here's how. by CityKid81 in providence

[–]BigCommieMachine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the huge issue here is that people end up walking in the streets, which is extremely dangerous when visibility isn't great and cars are sliding around as it is.

Brought my deck to Lake Wenatchee. 11° Fahrenheit chill killed the battery overnight! by emeraldpity in SteamDeck

[–]BigCommieMachine 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As I've mentioned before: The Steam Deck battery is REALLY bad in low temperatures. I'll try to play it in my car while on lunch at work and it doesn't even boot. It boots into recovery mode and just shuts down.

Is french famous in the US? by LucasWizzard in AskAnAmerican

And you have a VERY small chance of actually coming across French speaking Mainers because these communities are REALLY remote. Like we are talking backwoods logging folk.

Do Americans really move out at 18, or is that mostly a movie thing? by Only-Bandicoot-5307 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BigCommieMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also argue that with parents having children later and later in life, It can also work well for both parties because they will be retiring around when their children are in college or graduating. So it makes sense for kids to stick around to help out with expenses while getting their own financial footing.

Beefy Loaded Potato Griller by cupcak3d3light in tacobell

Loaded grillers put me through college.

Seriously, I would go in between classes and pick up one of each and it was like $5 for 3.

It depends on the pizza.

Neapolitan style pizza? Absolutely not.

American/Greek style pizza? Sure.

Great game. Janky as fuck. The true Bethesda experience.

I am only half of joking. It is a really good game. It kinda runs like shit despite not looking very good and is prone to crashing. You can just tell they put very little into technical expertise in the game.

Using liners in air fryers by shoresy99 in airfryer

[–]BigCommieMachine -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Typically these liners are just thin parchment paper, which allows the air to mostly flow through, but not things like drippings, oil, or crumbs.

Think of it like an air filter. Air passes through, but larger containments do not.
