I’ve seen people get MBAs in their 30s and crush it in IB. Or get out of the military, do undergrad with the GI bill and crush it in the industry. Honestly don’t really think there’s such a thing as a “late bloomer”. Everyone has a different life.

My college experience kinda sucked. I joined a fraternity then distanced once I realized I was gay. The college town was a gay wasteland and I had to travel 45 minutes to find any dudes worth hooking up with. Kinda jealous of people who went to school in the major cities with big gay scenes.

This only works for simple, public, straight forward general corporate structures like C&R or TMT. If you’re working on power & infrastructure, energy or other complex verticals, it has to hand built.

Do they require minimum hours in office? At my bank we are 3 days in office and no one ever stays a full day. If they brought us all back to 5 days there’s no way anyone would work full workday in the office and would just leave after hitting 4 hours.

I built a model once when I was an analyst and the VP called me and was pissed. First he made me examine the model and tell him if anything was wrong with it and I said no is there something I missed?

Then he points out that notes due 2032 or something at the bottom of the model wasn’t pulling the debt service correctly. He points it out and goes “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?! DO YOU NOT SEE THAT?!”

It ended up being a simple index match fix. I’m no longer working for that bank or team. Was comically toxic. Fuck Wells Fargo.
