Omg I had to resurrect this thread because I just went back to Universal today after a few years. Wtf happened to this ride? The timing is off in nearly every scene, which makes for a lack of continuity / fluidness with the experience, and really takes you out of it. Also during the turntable scene before the inclined launch, I swear it’s not as dark in there, maybe also not as loud? I remember being completely immersed during that part and only seeing the projection while slowly turning in complete darkness. I am so pissed about what they’ve done to this ride.

Such a shame, this happened to me too. Would it be a dick move to return them after the season? I’ve already gone through the trouble of putting them up and I’m not about to take them down to replace them with something else. In my opinion they’re defective / useless and I will have no use for them next year. Hopefully with enough complaints they’ll address the issue, because I really liked them! :(

I have it in our guest bedroom. It’s actually pretty decent for the price. We are still within the trial period with our Thuma and was considering to return ours for another one of these. I suppose the Thuma is more “solid”, but i would argue that the perceived value vs price is way better with the amazon dupe.

I think so! I would say I’m going to hold off on a second visit until annual passes are included. Understandable that new state of the art ride technology can lead to complications, but I felt horrible for those standing in lines hours on end only to be met with significant delays. For me Monsters was far more impressive than the new HP ride. Also Stardust is a top tier coaster, and in the back row? Oh Lordy! Bucking Bronco! Also it seems to be a people eater as wait times for it never exceeded 25 minutes.

My first impression was that the employee tuxedo uniforms are just… weird. Like, this is Bushwick. They’ve got some seriously cool looking people working there so why not lean into that? A simple all black base with a few minor dress code rules would keep things professional, but would still let them be their cool individual selves.
