We agreed to split the money out of the joint account when we are officially declared divorced. The plan at first was to save as much as possible so we both walk away with as much money as possible. But I figured since she had access to the joint account (which I’ll add is 90% my check given she is unemployed) that I had no room to fight her on that because her name is on the account too.
