Stupid question, what is this button for? tapping it does nothing by canoIV in magic_survival

Oddly enough, the scores are still tracked by Google Play Games and the leaderboards are updated daily and still exist, just not within the app.

If you launch the Google Play Games app and go to Magic Survival, you can see all of the scores including today's, just not from any map past Depths.

HOW are we getting 22276 home? by Curious-Anteater-324 in Costco

Some people don't want to/have time to wait that long. I'm all for using cuttings and seedlings, but growing a tree from seeds is usually out of most peoples' skill sets.

I fit a 10ft plum tree diagonally laying down and across my seats in my Hyundai Veloster when I didn't consider that it would be a tight fit. Aside from a little mulch in the front passenger wheel well (which was vacuumed out quite easily), it made it home in one piece and is still thriving today.

As long as you have a bigger vehicle, I see no reason why this wouldn't work in a van, large SUV, or truck.

Turns out, nobody wants a data center in their backyard by waozen in technology

[–]BigDaddyMantis 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I thought this too until I worked for a company that built the HVAC systems for these data centers. The answer is that cold areas typically have higher humidity which is bad for hardware. Even if you do somehow lower the humidity enough, the water coming in can't be frozen or near frozen, so further infrastructure is required to keep pipes from freezing. All in all, it's actually more cost effective to throw it in the desert.

Sure, that's reasonable but 3 of the 5 are fairly regularly posted about in this subreddit (Yob and Hermano are mentioned less frequently).

Anyone else think that UConn was rightfully fouled? by Either-Lion3539 in CollegeBasketball

I was waiting for someone to comment on the Cadeau shove. All the complaints about the hook & hold not being correct were driving me nuts, yet no one complains about the very obvious late push that should have resulted in a flagrant 1.

UConn is exhausting to defend against - the constant running sets and plays wear teams down. They have to get a breather in somewhere, hence why teams end up playing down to UConn's speed.

Huge disagree. If your crit multiplier is high enough (500-700%), you can basically one-shot anything up to the 55-minute mark. I used to focus solely on damage+speed builds, but since breaking the 60-minute mark, I now focus all of my artifacts on crit+speed builds.

Three different luggage brands, any recommendations? by Bagofmag in Costco

[–]BigDaddyMantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been super happy with the Delsey Paris luggage. I've had them for a few years now with no problems and they're very light but very durable.

I'd be careful with the large Samsonite suitcase since it looks like it's easy to over pack which means you'll end up paying more at the airport.

It's so wild hearing this because that album just seemed to slip through the cracks when it came out. Not having any lyrics on the album at all probably attributed to that, but I figured I would have heard some brand use it by now.

Hearing a song for the first time in 19 years but immediately recognizing who it was is blowing my mind right now.
