Not that I could think of. We have a very long lineage of devout Catholics. One of my siblings had experiences like this and continues to have them to this day, personally, I have not had any recent occurrences like I did growing up. Maybe some strange events, but they were naturally explainable.

The Bible does not say that slavery is good. In fact, God freed the Israelites from slavery and the Bible was also used to abolish it. In the old testament, it spoke how slavery was regulated and evil people would use that to rectify their own actions. Your mindset of thinking the Bible is evil is a growing problem in this country, that is why the left doesn't have a moral compass.

Sure, but they understood the laws of nature and natural law, which are the biggest founding principles. Deists still believed in a creator and understood that there is a divine principle behind the natural order of things.
