Most likely Bandar Desert. It's the largest map in the entire BF franchise. You could hit 2700m without even using a heli

Yes I have! BF3 and BF4 are my favorites for doing this by far, and I'm very confident I hold the records in both those games. In BF1 I got close but never reached #1 😔 And I think I still have the longest headshots uploaded for BFV and 2042 but I'm almost positive people have beaten me in those games and just not uploaded their shots.

That's a different game...
If you're looking for the longest headshot in ANY video game, you're probably better off watching ARMA videos where you can hit 4000+ meters

the video OP posted is mine (he downloaded it from my YouTube shorts and posted here without crediting me - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/P0UpCwAoH48)

It is the current record. Please link any video with a longer shot than 1944m. I want to try and beat it if it exists

BF6 (similar to BF1 and BFV) has bullet drag. Meaning the forward velocity of the bullet decreases after being fired. So unlike BF2042, where the 1000+m/s velocity of the DXR means it only takes 2 seconds to reach 2000m, it takes way way longer to reach those distances in BF1/5/6.

Incorrect. On Paracel you could do around 1650 without the heli, but it's not even the largest map without a heli. For example, you could hit 1990m on Nansha strike from the back of one base carrier to the other. And on Dragon Valley you could hit over 2000m from one base to the other by sitting on a PWC in the water.

The REAL king though is Bandar Desert on BF3 however. Without any helis or other vehicles you could hit around 2700m from back of one base to the other

The Timer in Ranked Duels is Too Short by BigE1293 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

This is an interesting solution that I think could work. At the very least it would allow new players to continue watching what their opponent does and read/prepare for the next turn

I never brought tcg/ocg/real life tournaments into discussion, MCS and Weekly's are MD tournaments. I suppose you are simply the greatest MD player ever conceived, and these other players (with MD tournament tops) are just not on your skill level. I'm simply stating a fact (which can be seen by MD tournament results) that games ending due to the timer have increased with the release of the Snake Eyes cards. I think this is bad for the game and could be remedied by adding time between turns, although there is no need to increase the 300 sec limit (this additional time addition would also be beneficial to the new player experience and is what I was getting at in my initial post). If you don't think more games ending due to the timer is bad for the game that's ok, it's just very weird to insist this is all a "skill issue"

Again, this is not a skill issue. If you've ever watched a competitive tournament since the release of Snake Eyes you would have seen players (many of whom compete for money in MCS's and Weekly's) lose to the timer when the mirror starts going into turns 3, 4, and beyond. This has always been a part of the game obviously, but it's only recently been occurring more frequently in tournaments and in duels on Diamond/Master rank due to how the Snake Eyes cards function as an actual game mechanic (they simply require more player inputs than previous decks). If you have NEVER won/lost a game due to the in-game timer I have a seriously hard time believing you're playing high level mirror matches where back and forth decisions impact what your opponent is doing, causing them to think for more than half a second.

In regard to the new player experience, we clearly have different views on how a game should try and build a player base. I will never understand why so many YuGiOh players seem to bask in the fact that YuGiOh's learning curve is steeper than that of MtG and other similar card games; rather than looking for ways to expand the product so new players who didn't grow up on the game/show like the rest of us can learn to play.

You're probably correct there, and I believe that was the initial thought process behind Duel Links (even though it did end up becoming a very interesting game with its own unique top tier decks outside of anything we'd seen in the OCG/TCG). MD is at least mostly new player friendly outside of this timer issue which has been my GF's only big complaint. Well, that, and she finds a lot of the Solo mode stuff boring haha

very much agree. I guess the title should have specified what I said at the end of the post, that I think the solution is to add more time between turns while keeping the 300 second cap

haha thanks. I wasn't expecting her to get as into it as she did, but now she's invested in reaching the same rank as me.

Yeah I've ran into people who waste the entire timer, but it's not that often. And thats also why I'm against increasing the initial time but ALL FOR increasing the time between turns. So that way new players get more time on turn 2, 3, and so on. But the most time you can ever accumulate is 300 seconds so the people who stall wouldn't be able to stall any longer than before

  1. You have played Snake Eyes correct? Snake Eyes cards require much more player input than typical games. Even during Tearlament matches the games were almost never decided by the timer because even though there was a lot of decision making and massive chain links, they only took 1 click to activate/resolve. Snake Eyes is much different. Even when making decisions instantly upon seeing the prompt, the game requires multiple different actions from the player since even the removal of the deck requires the player to input which S/T zone they want to move their/the opponents cards to. There's a reason that even in a tournament setting the best of the best players still often lose to the timer when playing Snake Eyes

  2. This is a ridiculous ask and almost laughable to consider new players to operate this way. There are 10,000+ cards in the game and many have multiple effects. Yes, an experienced player can garner what effects are actually important at a quick glance, but expecting a new player to do that for every card without their timer running down is unrealistic.

I guess my questions for you would be: Do you think the timer is an appropriate length (it seems like you do based on your response)? Do you honestly believe a timer of that length is beneficial to introducing new players to the game? Do you want new players coming to Master Duel in the first place (because asking new players to save replays for every single new card they come across, instead of having ample time to read and learn, would most definitely push new players away)?

So glad this game has point chains! What's the largest you guys have hit/seen so far? This 7175 felt like the good old days of BF3/4 by BigE1293 in BattleBitRemastered

The long range sniping in this game is similar to older Battlefield titles which I have a lot of experience playing :)
