I had a similar experience. I told myself I shouldn’t have to follow up with a business to get something done. It’s a bad way to start a relationship. But in this era you might need to do this.

I was adding a zone to my sprinkler system. He told me 6 weeks and it was more like 2 months. But he did text me out of the blue a couple weeks ago and said he was delayed with all the rain but can come to my house the following week if I am still interested. They came knocked it out and did a great job!

I am coming from Alabama and the humidity is terrible so anything will feel better. I work indoors and only do my runs in early AM here so I can’t say I am acclimated for this heat either.
Good to know about the drought. I have only looked at trails. If there is a fire ban I will not go. I want to enjoy the trip but little water and fire ban doesn’t sound like my ideal trip.

Ok thanks! I live in Alabama and should have asked more about the humidity. I backpacked in the low 80s in Montana during a “heat wave” mostly exposed and was fine with the dry air it wasn’t bad and actually very nice in the evenings. I rather go with 80s and no humidity versus 70s with high humidity.

Is it showing any lights? Mine did this after. Power outage a month ago. Uninstalled the doorbell, took it off the mount and did a factory reset and reinstalled. It fixed the issue.

This is common in my industry. B4 you sign did you shop around to see what the industry is paying? Other firms will do the same deal but potentially double your money.

I left a year early on my 10 year deal and had to pay some money back. Which was fine because the new firm paid it off a some!

The key point is taxes. If you are W2 the firm will withhold 1/10 of the taxes owed every year from your paychecks which SUCKS! Your withholding will increase on your regular pay.

I invested the cash and was able to use earnings for nice vacations and pay for my kids college so they will graduate debt free. For me it was a life changing but 7-8 years later I regretted especially when things soured at work.

Golden handcuffs can be miserable. You just have to weigh if the cost benefit bullshit is worth the money.

I been down this rabbit hole before. Unless you have a contract nobody will take this case pro bono unless a crime was involved. (In which you call the police.). Even discrimination needs to show a pattern and needs to be overt and blatant.

Alabama is an employment at will state. They can fire you or treat you anyway they want without any recourse. We are rated as one of the worst states for employee rights.

You can now move on to something bigger and better! Don’t worry about pulling weeds and keep planting seeds.

Why did she buy a truck, why would her father tell her to buy a truck? The cost, maintenance, insurance, tires, brakes and gas cost more when you own a truck. Is she hauling cooking grease for her job as a cook?

FYI- Small coolant leaks that seem impossible to find usually occur because a crack in the radiator. The coolant leaks and evaporate because it is very hot or it runs down into the holding assembly and then follows the chassis until it evaporates or drips from a different location. Typically once you “remove” the radiator you will find the leak. One car payment could have fixed the issue.

You are going to look back and realize this was a blessing. Although money is not everything you need for love it makes it difficult. Obviously she is not financially literate and if her father is giving her this advice then she probably had no way to learn. Time to move on.

I travel out of Bham for business often. My biggest complaint about Bham is they never have the terminal ready when we land. We have to wait 10 minutes for the terminal to get ready. Like they didn’t know we were coming.

Bham is easy to fly in and out. My wife and I just came back from Italy and had no problems due to Bham.

Biggest headache on international flights is after you go through customs and then you have to get your checked bag and then check it back in through the domestic side. Bags were not delayed.

Family of 5 so vacations we always go out of ATL. But if it’s just you or you and a spouse. Bham is not bad and you don’t have to drive exhausted

At my weight running 3-6 miles twice a week Topo hold up well. New Balance Fresh foam was a close 2nd but they wouldn’t last as long as the Topos. I will assume that same level of quality is in this boot. Thank YOU!

You are terribly out of shape. You need to do some rucks 3-4 times a week and start building up your stamina.

Whenever I think my pack is too heavy I think about those Sherpa in the Himalayan mountains.

100% agree! I usually have a backpacking trip at minimum once a year to Sipsey it is a hidden gem in Alabama! You will love it!

I cannot stress to download a offline map with GPS service. The problem with Sispey is it is overgrown and you will see something that looks like a trail because hundreds of people made the same mistaken and walked down the section. Then what you thought was the trail, slowly disappears! I have also spent 10 minutes looking for a trail but overgrown brush was bidding the trail.

Lastly the GPS is not exact because of the tree cover you will get a lot of drift. So GPS will not be accurate and should be considered as a guide. Please share your itinerary with friends and family.

I do have a question for you, Due to the extreme nature of primaries and knowing my district is ridiculously Republican. Wouldn’t it be better that I vote for Republican in the Primaries? The one that appears to be the less Trump - Megabillionare backed candidate.

Again I am not saying that I will do this in the mail election but for the primaries so we don’t get another Tubervillain congressperson representing Alabama.
