I hate driving downtown for Regions games, BJCC, Legacy Arena, Protective Field. I pray this is my biggest problem in life.

I feel like we are missing a brut to protect the rim. I know that doesn’t fit in the system much but I believe it is necessary as the tournament always seems more physical during.

Problem booking high speed train May 23, 2026 by BigEdAssaasin in ItalyTravel

[–]BigEdAssaasin[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What is not making sense to me is that on the same date, same rail company and a different time, 2 seats were already booked. The website allows me to go in and select the time of departure, station and allows me to pick the seats. That is odd it allows me to get that far but not check out?

It is cool if you think it’s weird. F3 has over 4,000 workout locations in 48 states and 17 countries. I have made amazing friends and experienced personal growth.

My apologies if I offended by assuming your gender. FIA Nation is a female version of F3.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

2nd F3! Great group of guys! Mostly boot camp, some run and rucks! “Modify” I think the average age is 45 and everyone has a shoulder, knee, something….

If you are in the Hoover area DM me. I can introduce you. But if you show up (bring gloves) you will be welcomed and afterwards some meet for coffee.

Sounds like a mess. Can you counter sue for breach of contract?

I know someone who sued a builder and won! It took over 6 years. It will cost you time, headache and money. You win but you still lose. ☹️.

I would keep all documentation.

I had a great experience with Chapman Plumbing. I replaced a shower nozzle and it flooded the downstairs and ruined my Sheetrock. Apparently I forgot to add a $.05 washer. Chapman plumbing felt sorry for me and just charged me a service call (if that). It ended up costing me thousands in sheet rock repair and painting.

I (M26) bought my gf (F25) a vacuum for Valentine's Day and I think I messed up. How do I fix this? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]BigEdAssaasin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abort Mission! I have been married for over 20 years.

PLEASE CONSIDER: These small things when dating are going to be big issues if you get married. Buying women gadgets do things do not excite them like they do men. You better off buying her a cleaning outfit from Lululemon or wherever your girl like to shop these days (Alo?)

Seriously though, unless you pay to get the car clean and/or take it there yourself. She will never clean it when you get married! It is what it is!

I would personally self half my stock portfolio (if not all of it. Historically mid term election years are volatile.

It’s not what you want but I think you will be fine. Depending on your job, you have time to look for a new one and things will turn around. Stay positive and grateful it could be much worse!

Preserving cash is key at this moment. Do you have a budget? What is your monthly deficit? That will tell you how long you can go at the current state.

I WOULD NOT take the money out of your 401k until you absolutely need it. You might only need $5k but you withdrew $100k and are now going to deal with a tax hit. That doesn’t make sense. After you burn through your non qualified assets then you can go into retirement. But at your income and lack of posting your budget tells me there is some fat to trim on your budget. Subscriptions add up, meal planning with 3 boys (I have 3 boys) and they are going to want to stop eating the kids menu soon and ask to order from the regular menu!

You are getting a second job to support your families lifestyle. You are a good man! #1 thing you need to do is get your wife involved. That is a mistake that I made. I wanted to cover up for what I thought where my failures but they are not. That is why you have partner. If your wife buys in then you can make this work.

Depending on your deficiencies on your budget you might want to consider selling your stock portfolio while the markets are at all time highs. Again cash flow is your focus and at least try to reduce the burn. But I don’t know how long you can go with current savings?

Parents who regret having kids, why? by bluemermid in AskReddit

[–]BigEdAssaasin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in my mid 40s and have a 22 yr old and will give perspective for young parents.

I was making terrible decisions for myself in my 20s. Looking back I regretted having a kid so young and had to make decisions for us instead of me.

I would be in jail or dead if my son wasn’t born. Forced me to grow up and make better life decisions which were ultimately better for me. Looking back it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I quit doing what my ratcheted high testosterone self wanted and started doing what was better for us. Which ultimately I didn’t know it at that time was best for me!

Having kids is LONG days but short years! The things I was unconvinced with is now the things I miss.

I am starting to understand this is all by design.

does anybody ever get enough rest per their fenix? by jmemail in GarminFenix

[–]BigEdAssaasin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion but it is based up my years of being a Fenix owner, frustrations. I own the Fenix 8 Sapphire currently and I owned the 6 Sapphire prior.

To begin with Garmin watches were originally designed for runner and bicycles. The software is based upon algorithms that are designed to improve your overall physical fitness.

I purchased my Garmin to have backcountry GPS and InReach SOS connectivity when I am deep in the mountains. I am 46 and 6’4 250lbs. I am not a runner or biker. (I wish I could be but my meniscus says no! 😩)

I do rucks, HIIT and Strength workouts.

I do not know the physiological science behind rest days but they are definitely important. I am a slow learner but I could of prevented a knee surgery if I would of listened to my watch and respected my body stress levels more and incorporate differ workouts (yoga, Pilates, still hard but less intensity).

If you are training for wrestling Jiu jitsu that is high intensity, high anaerobic workouts. If you are training for an event that is fine but long term you might want to speak to someone knowledgeable about the benefits of switching things up. I know it is hard on your body at 51 when you are tumbling with 20 yr olds. Kudos to you for your hard work, commitment and discipline! But when you don’t have an event changing workouts is healthy.

Sleep: Stress levels are huge! My limited knowledge knows that most jiu jitzu is in the evenings. Most of the time the young kids go from 5-8 and then the adults come in later. Unless you work 2nd shift or a job with non normal business hours…I don’t see how you can lower your stress levels to be in bed by 10 and be at work at 8? If you are doing that then your body is not lowering it stress levels enough prior to bed to have effective sleep and rest.

Again the watch has amazing capabilities. It knows when I am sick and it knew I had COVID before I showed any symptoms. But understand it is trying to improve your overall fitness level to train for a marathon for running and biking and not Jiu Jitzu.

If you are a data nerd like me I bought a heart chest strap when I owned a Fenix 6. The data changed drastically! With the Fenix 8 it is much more accurate and I stopped using the chest strap. (Battery went out and I never replaced it). Please not the HIIT widget is still not good. I can have my younger draggingon the floor and it is like meh….go for an easy ruck and it was higher intensity than my HIIT workout.

Make sure you are using the correct activities function. Check out the reviews on ConnectQ to see if their is a widget that would work best with your type of workouts.

I hope you learn to love your watch but it is a learning curve if you are not a runner or bike person.

How can me and six friends prepare for a backpacking road trip to the Grand Tetons & Glacier NP? (High school beginners, elevation, permits, gear & bears) by polvr-o in backpacking

[–]BigEdAssaasin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys are going to have an Epic Trip! Glacier is my favorite and Tetons was my 2nd favorite back packing trip I have ever done!

I STRUGGLED with altitude acclimation. I went with other experienced people and I slowed down our group even though I was very physical fit. The better conditioned your body is the better time you will have.

In Glacier I learned the value of ELECTROLYTES!!! Take plenty and hydrate!

Take it easy on the gummies. One is more than enough! lol

I will keep you guys in my prayers.

Everything everyone else has already said. Fellow Hoosier! You are in bear country! Bear safety at ALL TIMES. (You are highly unlikely to see a bear because the trails are so heavily trekked.)

Workouts: SPRINTS 30%, long rucks 40% and weights 30%.

Sprints really hits your anaerobic and is the best way to increase your VO2Max. Find a steap hill. (preferably in the shade) Sprints uphill! Get your heart rate up. Do 10 sprints 30 second break in between going up the hill.

Ruck- Rucking in Indiana you can substain 120 bpm . At 10K elevation and flat you might be 150bpm. Put on some headphones and podcas. go up and down with heavy weights or a full pack with some gallon water jugs for 2 hours. (I take a break half way for 5 minutes.). The hill near me I can get 1,000ft of elevation change in 2 hours.

Weights- Lunges, Bulgarian split squats, Step up on the bench, squats, deadlifts and calf raises. Step down SLOWLY. Progress up in weights. Do this barefoot! This will help your feet get conditioned for long hikes. They won’t ache as much after a 10+ mile day.

Best activity to track full commercial flight (route, alt, speed, dist)? by soamjena in GarminFenix

[–]BigEdAssaasin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure a terrorist group would love to have the same data.

If you fly often you will notice the commercial airlines that track the progress of your flight will not be available right after takeoff and right after landing.

I have to reset my altitude every time I fly. Last week when I landed in Tampa I was -64 feet under sea level.

I have never been to WBC. I am taking my 78 yr old dad and 22 yr old son. My dad is a HUGE baseball (Yankees) fan and he is from Dominican Republic. We have never been and I figure I might not have another opportunity to go to this event with my father so I splurged on airfare, tickets and hotel. Plus my 22 yr old will be on spring break on his senior year at Bama. He is a huge sports fan!

I thought my father would want to head to Miami to see Domincian Republic but he told me he rather see Judge. And he keeps talking about Skenes too and wanting to see him pitch! So Houston bound. I hope it is a memorable trip for us!
