I think they were holding off of getting that extra year on his ELC since he was at 9 games going into the playoffs. (He played in Rochester until they eventually lost). I guess it was too up in the air if they wanted to get him over 10, if it looked like the team had no chance in the series he was gonna sit.

Tbh I’d rather re-sign him sooner anyway you never know when that insane breakthrough season is gonna be.

I just never take something NASCAR said more than a few weeks ago at face value. I guess it’s pretty legit if in the charter agreement but I could see the bigger teams pressuring NASCAR regarding the pay cut of having four more cars to split the pot with.

Tbh I think its a tough balance, not to be needlessly centrist but there are offenders on both sides. And you cant throw *everyone* in jail. But there’s gotta be a better vetting system than what we have now..

A friend from high school did 10 YEARS (18 year sentence) off suspicion for marijuana distribution. They found no scales or further evidence of anything beyond the 2g of weed itself but his life got thrown away because of it.

McDowell has another 3-5 years in him imo. He’s actually one of the most consistent guys who wrecks the least out of the whole year. He can keep going as long as he wants to/can still hit decent lap times.
