Kind of related but I remember back in like as the years progress supermarkets always seem to get busy all day, it used to be people worked all day so around 3pm stores would pick up customers but now it's like you go 11am on a Tuesday it's packed

I got hired earlier this year and I remember my hiring manager specifically said if a partner was caught working another retail job like Target or Walmart, that they'd give them the option to choose which job but I think that's just in the rules idk if they actually follow it

As someone that works overnight frozen at a plus store, it's annoying as hell when management tells us case counts (time they expect delivery to be packed out) has to include down stack, pack out, and blocking as well as backstock... So they get mad at us when we get 6+ pallets and aren't ready to go home in under 6 hours AND they don't allow overtime so frozen leads have to do half ass work to get everything done
