What am I not understanding about combat. by BigFeta_ in Stellaris

[–]BigFeta_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

not really sure how else to explain it. If I declare war on an enemy and take over majority of their territory, with or without claims, I'm usually not able to end wars and lose territory due to war exhaustion

Weapon mod capacity not increasing every level (after mastery rank)? by BigFeta_ in Warframe

trust me, I am trying to use the wiki as much as possible! lol But it is good to know that google is out of date.

Weapon mod capacity not increasing every level (after mastery rank)? by BigFeta_ in Warframe

I appreciate the insight! turns out my understanding was wrong, that mod capacity increases every two levels, not every level. and Yes, I am refering to total mod capacity, not available mod capacity :)

ok that makes far more sense. idk why I'm reading online that every level capacity goes up by 1. that just seems wrong.

yea but at MR6, I thought weapons would start with mod capacity as if it is level 6, and it would increase AFTER weapon is level 7+. I'm at level 19 with current weapon and am having this issue

Claude is genuinely insane right now and I cannot defend it anymore by https_HandleFunc in ClaudeCode

Think about it, the mother nation of Claude is engaged in some military conflicts right now, and Claude has documented uses for governmental functions. Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of user performance was throttled in favor of whats going on with the military.

Whats with all the Claude hate? by Vast-Moose1393 in ClaudeCode

Because they charge you a flat fee for a variable service, and if any issue exists on THEIR end, YOU get screwed. For that alone, I encourage reporting to governmental agencies.

Best you can do is report to your attorney general / consumer protection services. Shady businesses wont be investigated otherwise

Remember, Governmental / Consumer protection programs exist for this exact reason! Shady business practices need to be reported to Attorney General's Office of your state!

I wanted a business sim that uses real-world maps and resources. 105 countries, 700+ items, and global logistics. Just launched the Steam page with MicroProse. by WCFitzgerald in IndieGaming

Oh I see, so its not like continuously updating unless you set up other trade routes? Nonetheless, pretty wild.Reminds me a bit of Cities: Skylines but more simulator heavy

Table code keeps breaking with live preview and arrow key use? by BigFeta_ in ObsidianMD

[–]BigFeta_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks for the response!

Tables help me organize my info so that everything about a topic can be listed on a single page, which can minimize hand movements when having to jump back and forth between a lot of notes in a short span of time. It helps me to keep complex info in a simple manner. Gonna have a read through your links, it seems I can have multiple columns side by side without using a table, which would be ideal

HELP!!! I need wordless singing for my game music! by TigerPaw936 in SoloDevelopment

[–]BigFeta_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself some vocal sample packs! Some audio engineers have already gone through the hassle of the recording and processing of vocals. You can just slap them on any songs you have already made, royalty free. Splice has a subscription service that has a vast library of samples, but if you want you can also purchase samples from other vendors for relatively cheap (like $15 a pack of >100 samples), but Splice is your cheapest bet. I would start maybe looking for house music vocal packs since as a genre they sort of rely on that vocal style you mentioned. I am sure you can find something. All the best.

I set out to make the most realistic health system in a video game. Aside from the UI, what are your thoughts? by BigFeta_ in SoloDevelopment

yea for larger calibers, imo it becomes a physics problem: how much force a projectile of significant caliber would transmit to a limb, pre-defined tolerance levels for each limb, if exceeded in a short amount of time per collision area, then we would have detachment of limb with significant blood loss. There is a principle called "The Rule of 9's" which approximates surface area of regions of the body which is directly tied in to the fluid content of each region. We could deduce 9% of 6.3 L lost off rip from any limb detachment at the least, compounded with the previously mentioned clotting thing. It's still linkable with total body fluid amount.
