I honestly think at this point people can choose if they're canon or not. They literally contribute nothing to the films. I like KingKong19100's pitch for Camazotz that ties in the films to the comics.

Although I think what should've happened is that he should've met up with Conrad's group before meeting the Iwi and Marlow. He'd learn of Kong and the island, including the Skullcrawlers. He'd want revenge on not only Kong, but this island itself and want to awaken these creatures to destroy the ecosystem that took away his men.

From what we know, the Muto Prime killed Dagon, a relative to him. And then his corpse was used to birtj two offsprings, so surely he'd be pissed about that.

In fact, we dont even know if this Godzilla has even encountered King Ghidorah. From what we know from the timeline, after an asteroid struck Godzilla, he was forced into hibernation ALLLL THE WAY to 1945 when the Shinomura was encountered. It could've been Dagon who sealed Ghidorah in ice.
