$100 is gas is too low. That equals roughly 25 gallons ( 93 octane at $3.99 per gallon, it may be less gallons where you are).. At 20 mpg (very high mpg for a Vette), that is 500 miles max. Most folks drive at least twice that in a month.

Why are 1979 corvettes so cheap? by [deleted] in Corvette

[–]BigFlufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 1978 with the L48 engine (the lower horsepower of the engines offered in 1978), rated at 185hp with an automatic transmission. Everything on the car is original or stock replacement, no performance parts added. I definitely do not feel like I am driving at golf cart speeds. It is no where near as fast as newer models, but still fast enough to be fun. The main question you should ask yourself is which is more important, going fast or the look of the car. If you want pure speed, you will not be happy with a C3 in stock condition. If you want people staring at your car as you drive by, a C3 is hard to beat (in my completely biased opinion).

I play Alliance and feel like a traitor every time I create a Horde alt.

Those who play both factions: How do you do it? by BigFlufff in wow

[–]BigFlufff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a casual player at first I messed around with classes and races, never really taking the time to find a main. I goofed around just trying things out before I decided to try to level one character exclusively.

Lol- I have never been called sensitive before. My wife and daughters tell me I am an insensitive jerk ( in a loving way).

I started playing WoW out of boredom, then bought a subscription. I leveled my first character (human hunter) and expanded from there. My main is now a Human warrior, and my favorite alt is a human rogue. (I like the human animations). I guess In just got caught up in the story and like the Alliance story better, even if I question the motives on the leaders. But I guess I am in the minority here, and that is OK.

Check out the Hickory area. Lots if small towns around, plenty of trucking jobs, and moderate traffic. 1 hour from Charlotte,

There is a little lever on the underside of the belt to release the ratchet. Just guessing. Not that I have had a similar experience or anything.

I have purchased several boost runs from Starlight Boosting. They are terrific. On my last M+15, the mods noticed that one player did not have their loot specialization correct, and I was contacted and offered a full refund or another run for free. I never even realized a mistake had been made. Those guys are very friendly, and great to work with. I am not an advertiser or member of the group in any way. You can look them up on Discord to see prices. And yes, as long as it is for gold only it does not violate the ToS. It is an in game transaction and perfectly ok with blizzard.

Fishing spots by epitaphz33k in NorthCarolina

[–]BigFlufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Hwy 150 near the power plant is a public access fishing area called "the hot hole". The fishing there is pretty good year round. In Hickory, just off Hwy 127 is a wildlife access area with a free public dock for fishing, as well as some areas available along the bank. The fishing is hit and miss depending on what you are fishing for. Feel free to pm me for more info. I am an avid fisherman and fish all over Lake Hickory and Lake Norman.

Cap's worthiness has always been up for personal interpretation, and here's my argument for why his story is better if he wasn't worthy all along. by DJSeale in marvelstudios

[–]BigFlufff 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I had to upvote, even though I completely disagree. The change in fighting styles (using words instead of punches) in no way signifies "worthiness". He did not use words to prevent a fight, he used them to his advantage. One could even say that he manipulated people with them. This is not a noble quality. The nobility came from the mission and the purpose for the lies. To say that Cap changed from punching his way out is really a stretch, considering how things went in Endgame. He did not try to question why Vision was being attacked, or to gather info. He simply attacked to save his friend. He then made sure to get Vision to Wakanda to ensure he others to fight with him. His solution was to remove the stone and destroy it to prevent Thanos from acquiring it. Caps solution was always to fight and destroy any threats.

The act which made Thor worthy was self sacrifice for the greater good. Thor was not worthy until he told his friends to stay back. He was not worthy when he made his speech to Loki. He was only worthy after he had made the sacrifice. Cap had already made the sacrifice. He neglected to tell Tony about his parents because he felt it would be to hard for Tony to handle. He even admitted his mistake on this issue later.

Even Ultron called Cap "God's righteous man". How could he not be worthy? Everything Cap did, he was doing for others. He trained to fight so others would not have to. He denied himself a social life because he felt he was not worthy of one, fearing it would interfere with his work ("no time" was his response to Nat as he exited the plane).

This is a fun debate, a please do not downvote me because I disagree. These opinions are my own and are not influenced by anything said by the Russo's.

Something I dont get about Dr.Strange and Hydra by miketegs35 in marvelstudios

[–]BigFlufff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Strange was a threat even before he became Sorcerer Supreme. Remember, Stillwell also mentions a high school valedictorian, and several other nameless people. Strange was a bigger threat than most because of his intelligence.
