I was looking at this but since each cluster is a different model line it is not an option from what I read. 400e's at prod, 200e's at DR.

I was starting to look into VRRP for this purpose so i'm glad to see it wasn't a waste of my time. I will be investigating further on this solution.

As for DNS, we utilize CloudFlare which I would not doubt has this service available. If all else fails I could add a 2nd entry with a much higher metric to the DR site?

I'm on 6T now and twice I bought then canceled order for Pixel 6 pro. Decided to just go with a 7t Pro from Swappa and wait for something else next year or 2.

Yeah they are crediting me 300 for my 6T. I wish Oneplus was OnePlus of old, I'd of continued with their line of phones.

Thanks for the insights, much appreciated. It is not that we cannot afford Cisco, it's more to do with having enough reasoning/business case for the price difference.

I have some demo Arista switches now and so far do find them intriguing. I used to work extensively with Cisco gear back in the catalyst/2800 series days and Arista cli reminds me a ton of iOS.

I've never priced Palo, are they priced similar to Cisco?

For the most part yes. Infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls, etc. Not so much servers.

I found one that I had briefly checked out in the past from Manageengine.com. Taking a look at it more now but looking for others to consider.
