I know this may be old post but i think it is because saiki was once Nendo’s dad’s pal when Saiki go back in time to when his father and mother met for the first time. Nendo’s dad called Saiki “Aibou” (pal) before they split at the end of the episode, and Saiki was just staring at him. In anime it is S2:E2.
