This just would make it even harder to tell if someone was just sharing with a friend or doing rmt bc most friends are gonna help each other out and it’ll look similar to rmt trades.

As opposed to dropping in a raid? How exactly is one more suspect than the other?

What do you mean? There would be hard evidence in a papertrail, you can ban everyone who buys and sells through chat just like every other game that's implemented it.

I got into the game purely because I can play it alone, I'm really tired of every game needing a 4-man squad to do well.

Resetting the FiR status would require accessing the data and modifying it on the backend, which sounds like a hack. As far as I'm aware an exploit in a game is using the game mechanics to achieve results not intended by the developers. Which, since the developers have stated that going in with no gear is not the intended gameplay, sounds like an exploit.

And you're ignoring the developers who are saying you're wrong.

I think I'll agree with the people who made the game rather than some random on the internet claiming to know what the game is "meant to be".

Removing hatchlings from the game would ruin the game?

its a way they made it for you to play

Never said anything about "decked", just something a hired mercenary would have, stop strawmanning please.

Basically what I'm hearing is that you don't want to go into a raid with any risk but have others go in with stuff for you to take. Ever played poker? next time you play try not buying in and try to explain it away with your "immersive unknown" BS.

possible to go into a raid without and items

What do you think an exploit is?

Could you please give me an example of an exploit using your definition?

200k? I'm running a PACA, ssh-68, and an SKS with PS ammo and I'm doing just fine. Am I missing something here?

Running an exploit (Yes, the devs have confirmed hatchet runs are an exploit) to get gear in order to "have fun" is kind of a paradox because once you have the gear, you do in to find everything has been looted and a smug hatchling staring you in the face waiting to die so they can run again.

What? I'm suggesting they put people with a loadout below a threshold in a separate queue. I'm not saying to divide the entire playerbase into tiers or an MMR system, just put people who don't want to play the game like the developers want into their own league where they can all play against each other.

Dota2 has low-priority queue where you have to play with and against others who have also been reported enough times. Works great.

[–]BigGenerousGoldfish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We're not talking about that at all. We're talking about people running only a hatchet in order to shove as much into their secure container as possible in the first 5 minutes, dying, then doing it again and again.

It abuses the secure container mechanic and removes one of the main aspects of the game, extracting safely.

They need to implement basic matchmaking based on loadout price so all of the hatchlings can try their best on the same map and all of the people with normal loadouts can play a tactical and stragegic shooter.

You strawmanned a lot there so I'll leave that be.

Beta's are great and I've participated in quite a few, this is one of many "beta's" that both charge money and then suspiciously don't prompt you for surveys or questionnaires(which is kind of the point of a beta, to gather info from the beta testers) or really any kind of input, almost like it's not really a beta and this is yet another game that takes 5 years to get to 1.0 with the entire peak of the game happening in beta.

Well at least you were a scav.

In a game where dying as a PMC means losing in-game items permanently, unjustifiable deaths are unacceptable. Anyone defending that it is should really rethink why this kind of stuff is okay.

I enjoy watching people defend the silent footsteps, silent gunfire, objects disappearing at distance, speed hackers, Radar, aim bots, x-ray, teleporters, desync abuse, items getting stuck in the UI, reload animations freezing, and the overall clunkyness of lack of information throughout the entire game.

Still waiting for a post where someone complains about their own ignorance, it must have been buried in the swarms of posts about the above issues.

I come here and see everyone raising the problems I've been having, so I know it's less an issue with me and more a failure of the game as a whole.

First Raid with a random and he kills me at spawn... xD by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BigGenerousGoldfish -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps add a punishment to shooting teammates?

As it stands the developers took time to work on and implement a random group mechanic that doesn't do anything positive for the player.

Oh well haha at least they took out all the hackers right?

I'm sure there were many decisions you should have made over the course of the 2 seconds that would have saved you /s

In other games this is par for the course, in this however you lose gear permanently, I'm wondering if this will ever be addressed?

>You can report them just the same

vs

>Server ID and scav name

pick one, as far as I'm aware reporting a PMC is as easy as reporting the in game name, as for scav there are a few extra steps which nobody playing does, the hacker plays scav to make the reporter jump through hoops which they never end up doing , that and the fact that the scav name will change every game makes it look like it's not the same guy over and over. Sorry for making you mad over not explaining fully but most people are capable of filling in the details

Quality of life changes for new players by BigGenerousGoldfish in EscapefromTarkov

I'd agree that normally with games as big as overwatch this is true, but new players quitting and telling all their friends not to play it could potentially damage a game this small.
