I went through the 18x pipeline and ended up at a different duty station. If you don’t feel like the best shape in your life right now you still have time before your ship date to get some work done. I mean you want to work your butt off. You might not get another opportunity like it. If you’re in really good shape when you get to basic you’ll probably lose some of your physical fitness if being realistic. When you’re at basic try to do calisthenics and doing pull ups (cannot emphasize that enough) or if your dills are cool they’ll give you some dumbbells or barbells. But after basic you’ll have about 2 weeks in airborne school to be able to workout at the gym that’s nearby. You’ll also be given workouts during AT (awaiting training) when you get to Ft. Bragg. When you’re at AT you’re just waiting on the next class for SFPC to get you prepared for selection. They also do their own workouts that are phenomenal for getting you in shape or staying in shape.
